If the Lakers had 17 FTA to 0 FTA for the Magic you all would be screaming bloody murder.

I think those discrepancy is a little bit exagerated, as more than half of those FT's are because they were preventing dwight howard from getting an easy two, where it is a CLEAR foul and not a conspiracy of the Refs against the Lakers. Take those obvious hacks against Dwight and you'll get the real number of the freethrow discrepancy.

12 of the 17 Orlando free throws in the fourth quarter were NOT Dwight Howard's.

Anyway, I can't even imagine what the reaction would be like if the Lakers were the team receiving all the calls last night. Every thread on the 1st page would be something like "LAWL REFS HELPS KOB BRANT WIN HIS 3rd RING LAWL". Instead, the Lakers beat a team that got every single call and it's only no ones crying bloody murder about it. Last night was a very satisfying win.

The fact no one, not even Lakerfan, is bitching about the disparity should make you realize how predictable this postseason turned out.

FT's shot doesn't really matter and doesn't say anything in regards to the officiating so who cares.

Lakers fans + 1st half = magic winning. THIS IS RIGGED, FUCK YOU STERN, HOW DARE YOU DONT GIVE US OUR FAVORTISM CALLS!

Lakers fans + 2nd half = lakers winning. Refs are letting them play even though we have no FTA!!! We'll take it though. (then they wait to see if the Lakers lose for them to then blame the refs)

Neurotic fans, they are programmed for the refs to help them out regardless.

When they don't , they cry like Derek Fisher

E20 got it right. FTA are the primary statistic to look at in the box score, but you can't tell how good or bad the officiating is until you watch the game. For example if Kobe throws up one of his many bricks and Gasol tries to tap it out but it goes out of bounds and it's called on a Magic player, it's not going to show up in the box score.

But you wouldn't realize that because you're too busy playing your tiny violin even after a Lakers win.

There are alot of plays a ref calls that controls the game without it ever showing up in the box score for future generations that didnt watch the game on tv can then pin it on the refs via stats/box score.

they learned from game 6 kings vs. lakers to not do that as obvious

The Lakers had 27 FTA.
The Kings had 9 FTA.
