So Kobe throws a high elbow and decks Nelson. The whole world looks the other way like it never happened. If any other player had committed that act they would be story number one and he would have been kicked out of the next game. Kobe is a great player, but BS like this taints his accomplishments and gives every non Laker fan the right to asterisk the Lakers.

So if the lakers lost in the finals, everyone would have to asterisk the magic and their title too right?? I mean, the fucking officiating was AWFUL and they still managed to choke the game away.

You see this ain't a hate thread. Must be an IQ thing. As a Laker fan I would actually prefer that Kobe get held out a game. The Lakers would probably still win and could win with class. They haven't been able to say that since the Magic days. It just cheapens the whole process.

You would have a good point there, as well. This argument will continue until the refs just call the game the same for everyone whether superstar, rookie, home or away.

there's no way you can prove that elbow was intentional. he was already in the motion to pass the ball out when nelson was going full steam at kobe. find a better example or stop crying

Not really an elbow, intentional or otherwise. This was discussed earlier in another thread, a player has a right to his own space to move. A player can't create space with his arms once the defender establishes himself, but as you can see, Jameer's running late into the play...a non-call. But if you must have a foul, it would be on Jameer.

This wasn't swinging elbows, pretty much a pick up the ball and overhead pass move.

Original thread discussed along with Pietrus Flagrant and possible suspension:

Look at how low the contact occured. It was right at where the jersey says "Lakers".

yet another in the long list of infamous, crucial last minute plays where the refs swallowed their whistles for the Lakers.

I have zero love for Kobe, but that was a good no-call.

Yet another post from a Kobe/Laker hater with no basis in reality. There was no swallowing or blowing of the whistle because there is no foul. Simple as that.

i am a big fan of Kobe actually, just ppointing out that for 99% anyone else that would have been a whistle, this is just another in the long list of infamous last minute plays where the refs swallow the whistles so the lakers can win.

if Manu's ticky tac foul on dirk in the last seconds to COMPLETELY BAIL OUT the mavs after the moron drives for a dunk when they were down 3 was a foul, then this certainly was too.

If Dirk had done this, he would have been suspended at least 2 games.

Is it Kobe's fault that so many people keep running into his elbow?

Kobe is such a dirty player. He gets away with more than anyone else in the nba. Pathetic.

Lakers didn't shot any free throws in the 4th, it was until that flagarant foul in ot that the Lakers got to the line. I guess the refs handed us that win.

:lol @ Kobe's face when he elbowed Nelson... Good think they didn't call a foul on Nelson.

the fact is that the magic got away with A LOT of shit that game. The fact that they had one call go against them provides no justification whatsoever to why they lost.
