View Full Version : Furniture Donation Question

I have a couple of old couches that are structurally sound but that really need to be reupholstered to be used. When reupholstered, one will be really nice; the other is just a couch.

I am looking to donate those items to a charity, but don't know of any that will take furniture that needs such repair. Does anyone have any ideas of a place in SA or South Texas that would take something like that?

Thanks!

Have tried DAV and Goodwill. Will try Furniture for a Cause and Medina Children's Home.

Thanks for the input. Still looking for options . . . .

Use Craigslist, some families may need it.

Yeah, if it's in crappy enough shape you can be sure it will be put to good use by someone on Craigslist. If you give away something nice you might have to worry that the person will resell it or something, but if it's a crappy couch whoever is willing to take it probably needs it.
