Spurgal and I went to blows a few times at another Spur forum...

For some reason, Old School Chick reminds me of her. Perhaps it's cus she capitalizes all of her I's, even if they are not at the beginning of a sentence. Perhpas it's cus she uses the same graphics as Spurgal. But for some reason, the two remind me of each other a whole lot...

hmm oldschool chic was formerly sbcgirl..was sbcgirl formerly spurgal as well?

Did SBC Girl capitalize all of her I's in the middle of a sentence? And use really cheesy, glittery graphics?

Actually... I know I only have 100 or so posts, but I have read this place and been registered for ages... methinks SBC Girl did do those things.. hmmmm....

Believe you me... if Kori had asked me to start posting before this, I would have! I think this forum is great, and I have nothing but respect for Kori. I posted a few times on the old EZ-board forum, but nothing here until lately. But I do read and keep up, even as I travel.

What rumors did you hear? And there is no story, I am just a Spurs fan who would rather read Pop's comments than the stat sheet...

Are you a friend of Kori?

Are you a friend of Kori?

Unfortunately, I don't know Kori, aside from this forum. But when I get back to San Antonio, I do hope to go to a GTG and meet her...

Why do you ask? And what rumors did you hear? I would like to know what rumors I was a part of...

Just rumors on the proverbial internet street.

But when you first arrived I remember Kori asking you what's up like she knew you so I was curious.

I can't answer for Kori, but the fact that you remember that first night and what she wrote to me is scary.... Are you a stalker?

Actually, I have a very good memory. Also, I only vaguely remembered it so just before I wrote that post and went back and checked to see exactly.

Kori knew who I was before I posted here at SpursTalk. So why does that matter? Or does it matter at all? I don't care either way, cus she has welcomed me to post here, and I am happy because of that...

It doesn't matter. I was just curious.

OK... cool.. I can accept that... especially for a fellow insomniac... Even if he is a Braves fan...

wait... how old are you, that you go to see Nolan pitch LIVE?!?!?

I only got to see him last year at Johnny Oates' retirement ceremony.

I am 22, I was in the 2nd grade at the time, in '92. It was still a thrill for me even though I was so young.

They won too. 5-2. He also got his 5600 strikeout that game.

Melmart1

You are 7 years younger than me, and I am envious... I watched numerous games of his cradled in my grandpa's arms... but never got to see him pitch live...

It seems like you can appreciate what you witnessed, though.. so long as you realize you were a part of history, we won't have to go to blows...

atlfan25
02-01-2006, 05:20 AM
I realized it at the time. I was very excited to go because he was my favorite pitcher.

Damn...I can't believe how into the game I was back then.

Though I have enjoyed our Nolan banter, this may mean taht we will never find out the true identity of SpurGal, since we have hijacked the thread...

Maybe you'll have to wait until you engage her in another quarrel on here.

But Nolan is the man.

Melmart1
02-01-2006, 05:37 AM
Nolan IS the man! In my humble estimation, a top-10 of all-time pitcher. In fact, top-5 of all time. If the pitching award wasn't named after Cy Young, it would be the Nolan Ryan. I had never seen my grandpa cry before he saw Nolan get his 6th and 7th no-hitters and his 5,000th strikeout w/ the Rangers. Those memories will forever touch my heart. Baseball does that sometimes.

And if Spurgal really is around, it will be much fun facing her.
