I've been watching NBA Basketball since I was 6, and I'm telling you, that was one of the best games ever played. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. I look forward to re-living it over and over again in all our years ahead :flag:

yeah it really was a great game. sadly the other team ended up being the champs this year. Best game for me this past season was the road game vs the Celtics. The Spurs really played well that game. No one really expected them to steal a home game from the Celtics.

i'm surprised timmy and kg didn't relive the old rivalry and defend each other! they sort of guarded each other a few possessions but that was it.

i was shocked as hell when roger mason chucked up that 3. i dont think that was what pop had drawn up lol

How old are you now...12?

Hell, game 1 of the last years Spurs Suns series was a better game.

I think the best ever was 110-82 plus 2 crybabies. That one kicks ass.

Also, the Double OT game where the Spurs lost to the Lakers at home in 04.

It was pretty much Manu, with help from Rasho and Malik(No Tim or Tony-INJ) vs. the 2004 Lakers with Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Payton, & insert Non-entity LAL guy.
Spurs lost 120-117 but Manu and company had them on the ropes and stressed. Watched it live. 1st game ever at the AT&T(Then SBC).

Did you not see...

Spurs vs Rockets late in 99 when Mario Ellie hit the three for the win,
Game 1 or 2 of the 99 Spurs/Blazers Playoff series,
Game 6 of the 03 Spurs/Mavs or Spurs/Lakers(huge blowout)
Back to back double OT games in 05 vs Warriors and Clippers (Spurs w/o Tim)
Game 5 of the 05 Finals
Game 7 of the 06 Spurs/Mavs (a loss but still a great game)
Game 1 of the 08 SPurs/Pho

I guess that was a great game this season but the if were talking just this season I think the Christmas game was better

It was a great regular season game for sure. Both teams were just at maximum offensive efficiency.

How about Spurs vs. Suns back in, I think, 2005? Spurs were down by 17 going into the fourth quarter. Amare hits a 3 at the buzzer as the Spurs storm back, and then the Suns proceed to get butt-smashed in OT in their own building.

Fucking sweet. :smokin

Manu's 48 point game actually, I believe.

Hell yeah, that's got to be at least top 3 in best Spurs games ever.

Spurs fans don't celebrate winning titles anymore. It's all about meaningless January regular season games for them now.

We appreciate every badass game, whether it led to a championship or not.

I enjoyed every second of that game, with the Chicago/Celtics series aside, 1 of the most entertaining games of the 2009 NBA season.

I'm always going to love that first game the Spurs played VS the new phoenix suns in 05 when manu went for 48 in and won the game in double OT... the regular season game though

i felt at that moment the spurs really showcased their depth/bench/coaching to the world, when a lakers team that overloaded with talent barely put away a spurs team that didnt even have tony or timmy

ginobili was on FIRE that game. it didnt occur to me until that game how good he was

it was hilarious when him and GP got into it at the end

That was a great game. I remember that stretch. We had some close games and then smacked Cleveland around. We beat Indiana by 3, Houston by 5, lost to the Spurs by 1, and lost to the Magic by 6...and then crushed the Cavs by 17. That was all in one week. Looking at it, that was great competition in that week..Houston, San Antonio, Orlando and Cleveland.

i remember being at that game the crowd was crazy and probably the best crowd ive been apart of since i went to game 6 of the finals in 2003 when they won the championship it was so funny going down the escalators and hearing "fuck LA" chant

I'm pretty sure it's sufficient to say that a lot of fans think that the spurs beating the suns is not as glorified as the spurs beating the lakers. Hell, If the game talked about by OP was a playoff game, I would easily pick this game over the Suns first game when Tim Duncan made the three pointer...

Maybe not. But a close second!

That back to back is a personal favorite of mine. It didn't really mean much since it was just regular season but Tony carried that team and it was incredible to watch.

Don't worry, your team will be the Spurs's bitches once again. Just keep on making meaningless comments that show how idiotic you are so you can feel better about yourself. I mean, :wgaf:
