Don't be mean everyone. No reason for it. Probably new to this and we want Spurs fans to feel welcome and learn.

You seem excited Dynasty, but Rubio might not be the best fit for the Spurs now because they have Parker and Ginobili is a veteran at a position the Spurs need him at.

You would need the number 2 pick to get Rubio

Some have him slipping to 4, in fact many do. Thunder has the 3rd pick and they need a big man. They tried to trade for Chandler and Thabeet is a younger and possibly better version of that.

I do not know if Memphis will risk it.

There is no such thing as a 4th round pick. There is only the 1st round pick and the 2nd round pick. You mad?

Actually he's right, because the Grizzlies are said to really like Rubio and the Thunder would almost certainly take him at #3 if Hasheem Thabeet goes at #2. But the point is moot because we need Rubio like we need a hole in the head. Rubio is a PG and we already have a guy by the name of Tony Parker at that position.

Yeah, and why don't we trade Tim for the #1 pick, Tony for the #2 pick and maybe throw Pop in for the # 6 & 7 picks. Yeah, that's the ticket. Blow up a proven Championship group and roll the dice.

This thread is infected with the Swine Flu!!! :ihit

People need to realize that the Spurs will not be trading any of the big 3. Not even for the #1 pick.

Manu will stay. Stop that talking about trading. We don't need this Rubio, we don't need any other player. Manu will be a beast next year. I smell a championship. ;-)
Why is every stupid guy opening threads? That has no sense!

Why trade a potential all-star who is feared by defenses around the league, for an unproven kid who couldn't even consistently tear up his league in Europe?????

All I can say is do not compare him to Rudy. Ricky is way better than Rudy is.

I agree.

I will even go as far as saying he will be a bust especially for an early first round pick. He doesn't seem quick enough to beat nba players and his perimeter shot is not great. He has bust written all over him.

I'd rather have Manu and I have been trying to trade Manu in every other thread.

Exactly. As if it's impossible that Manu will get injured again and his trade value will be sub zero. The op is just looking at an option.

I'd rather have Thabeet but won't happen.

Honestly, if we didn't have a solid starter at PG, that wouldn't be too bad of a deal, but I'm plenty happy with our guard rotation as it is.

First off, JohnnyBlues, your post is hilarious!! Mainly what you wrote under the picture...lol :rollin

About Rubio, though, I dont think hes a bust...atleast hell be entertaining to watch in a year or two with his sick passing, but this thread is just silly. He's no PPM or Larry Bird, but im curious to see if he can improve the team that drafts him

Rubio for Manu = 1st :lol ........... 2nd :nope

Stop drinking the Manu haterade people....HES NOT DONE YET!!!!

It is not Manu "haterade" if you want to trade him, but it is dumb to do it for something that does not make sense.

Good point. I agree. I guess haterade is a little too much...but seriously, not only does it not make sense...its just beyond silly to make a thread like this and think a legitimate debate will begin...

I dont mean to insult you Mr. thread starter i already forgot the name, but by the end of the summer, there will be so many "trade Manu for this guy" threads itll be enough to start and fill up a separate forum...(sigh)
