Source: Miss California Removed Tag From Mattress
LOS ANGELES, CA - The controversy surrounding Carrie Prejean, the reigning Miss California, continued to deepen today as new allegations from her troubled past surfaced. According to a family acquaintance, who spoke with us on the condition of anonymity, Miss Prejean once removed a mattress tag that was clearly labeled 'unlawful to remove'. The incident - which occurred just twelve years ago - was witnessed by the source and one other unidentified family member.
"I just couldn't live with it any longer." said the source, visibly shaken by the turn of events. "Maybe now the nightmares will end."
The revelation comes on the heels of the resignation of Shanna Moakler, co-executive director of Miss California, who stepped down in disgust after Prejean was allowed to keep her crown despite the fact she once did a photo shoot in her underwear. "It's sickening that this pageant would associate itself with someone who shamelessly flaunts herself like that." said Moakler, a former beauty queen and Playboy centerfold. "What kind of role model is that?"
Prejean originally raised eyebrows during the Miss USA pageant, when she stated it would be her personal preference to marry a man. That controversial statement ultimately cost her the title, according to Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton, who many speculate would also prefer to marry a man.
