Holt signing off on this trade is as impressive as any other aspect of it.

Thank you Holt. I know this must be even more difficult in this economy, so thank you all the more for doing this.

Holt is an excellent businessman. He trusts Pop & RC. And I think he sees what all of us Spurs fans see...another Championship ... if we can get the right big man to man the center spot to help Tim out in the paint.

Holt had been saving up. :lolThat is actually possible. Maybe they had been stockpiling all this tax money to be able to spend when the times in the league as a whole got leaner. Seems somewhat counterintuitive, but that could be a way for a small market franchise to buy a competitive advantage.

Wow! Just heard about this deal. Fantastic in every way. Great move, particularly from a health perspective in this investment. Injuries can happen, but Jefferson hasn't missed a game in 2 years.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The ownership willing to shell out $70+ million is pretty impressive so far.

This was about as good a trade as any Spurs fan could have reasonably expected. Jefferson for basically nothing?

Thank you, come again.

The Spurs at least correctly used their cap flexibility, instead of pursuing yet another Quixotic hunt for max level talent free agents. Now the bigman rotation is going to need some work.

Yeah, Spurs Nation was pretty adamant about using assets instead of doing the free agent hope routine in 2010.

Now hopefully Holt doesn't negate this praise by ordering a number of salary dumps :lol

I mean, the Spurs are still under the LT (especially if they use league mins to fill up the roster), but they will have to go over if they want to truly fill out the front line imo.

Hence my reservation. Great trade, but let's move forward, not backward.

Great move, thanks to Holt for agreeing to it. As long as salary dumps aren't soon to follow...he will definitely have my NBA League Pass money and probably several more games attended than last year.

Who could they salary dump that would really hurt this team? Bonner, Finley...???
