They should be able to possibly get HCA in the playoffs because of their outside shooting, but they are going to get KILLED inside! I still don't think they can beat the Blazers or Lakers. I would say Houston as well, but everybody knows the Rockets will be a MASH unit by playoff time.

Wishful thinking (from the perspective of a Blazers fan) that the Spurs would just stop at this. Has the trading been suspended yet? Odds are we pick back up Oberto and Bowen's contracts, resign Gooden and either give Ian a shot this year or try to bring in a young 5 with an underrated contract. There is a lot of time left in this off-season.

Very true, but I think it's a bit premature to call our roster as stands now our roster for next season, y'know?

It could be worse. They could have Oden at center.

The Lakers have size but their best line-up is when they downgrade and put Gasol at center and Odom at PF. Size only helps if it's size with talent. Moreover, if it's size with talent that is healthy enough to play. Shawn Bradley and Gheorge Muresan had size. Pavel Podkolzin had size. But the talent or lack thereof was more of an issue. Houston has very good size but their size gets injured a lot. Size is important to a certain extent. Depending on what else the Spurs do, they look like they should be fine and very competitive next year.

Hmm, I guess it could be worse, I mean, we could have Steve Blake at our Starting Point

Is this post about our trade???

Oh no... we lost Oberto who has heart conditions and Thomas who I wasn't sure was still alive.

Maybe the Spurs should offer Bonner and a couple of picks for Oden? Except that would make us "older" and more injury prone. :depressed
