Even with TD, TP and manu, a good 3P% in the clutch would have been nice...

Hopefully with him on the team, there won't really be much need for clutch play. Besides, the Spurs have Manu (and Tony seems to be getting it done in the clutch) to handle that. Timmy isn't half bad either. That is alot of pressure off of RJ to get it done in the clutch. If Mason Jr. stays in San Antonio, he would do well in the clutch as well.

Usually Parker or Manu will have the ball during clutch plays so I am not too worried about this stats.

RJ has never been a #1 option. It's not surprising to see his percentages decrease when he's forced into these situations. I'm not particularly worried considering we have guys like Manu, Tim, Tony, and Money Mase in the clutch.

That is what I meant, I just worded it wrong. I am sleepy but the fan in me refuses to let me sleep until the draft is over. :wakeup

Same here.:wakeup It's an exciting time. I'm a draft day/FA period junkie. :downspin:

Of course he will be the last of the fab 4 to have the ball in the clutch but a guy like Finley saved us many times with a 3.

I don't think we will have this with him

We still have Finley you know. Either way, we won't have him (RJ) standing out on the perimeter for thirty minutes a game either. Maybe if Finley brought more to the team than very inconsistent shooting, we wouldn't of been in those positions before he bailed us out? It's hard to say.

Lol that's what Manu, Tony and Tim are there for :lol

RJ's clutch stats were all above average in his final few years with the Nets. One year sampling for clutch stats is way too narrow.

And yeah, being a fourth option in the clutch will be a lot different than being a first or second option. With the Spurs, his clutch shots will likely either be open three or dunks.

Nah. If roger stays he is the guy I want taking the game winner. He did it in our biggest games this season and did the same for wash. He might not be our most talented but in this regard I'd take him over any body on our roster. Money mason is fitting

well, look at manu's FG % in clutch time in PO.
Stats don't always tell the whole thing

What's a dunk? Is that were they put the ball through the rim without throwing it?

Spurs can do that?

I wouldn't be too worried about it either. The Spurs have plenty of guys that can step up in the clutch, and this isn't the Milwaukee Bucks either.

As a lot already said we don't really need RJ being clutch we have all we need in this department. Seeing him feeding the score during 3 quarter and half will enable resting manu and taking away a part of the scoring responsability of TP. and we still have Mase for the moment.

I wonder how many dunks RJ had last year compared to all the dunks the spurs had last year.

Jefferson is obviously a nice pick up and provides an answer for us at the 3. HOWEVA....I'm not going to go overboard with excitement. He's always been a nice, slightly above average player and that's about it. He is not clutch, He is not tough as nails, He is not instant excitement. He's a good solid player that is WAY over paid.

He is also better than what we had to give up. So.....I'll take it, but we still have a lot of work to do IMO and it sounds as though the FO is doing just that.

Sweet.

His forehead will shine a gigantic glare towards whichever man is guarding Money Mason.
