...and at the HemisFair, too! :) Yeah, I went to the one where they drafted Sean Elliott with the 3rd pick and I remember quite a few in the crowd booed when the Clippers selected Danny Ferry with the 2nd pick. Larry Brown really loved Ferry's size and he made it known that he coveted a longer 4 than Terry Cummings.

Why would they be throwing a draft party with three second round picks... hmmmm?

is this typical or is this a signal that the draft is gonna be exciting?

If Minny is unsuccessful in using #5 and #6 to move up further, they're going to be shopping either #18 or #28. Having 4 first rounders is crazy. I think Sacto did one year in the 90s, they used them all, and whiffed on all 4. Duane Causwell was the best of the lot, and he wound up with a serious journeyman tag.

Here they are, murderers row, Sacramento 1990 draft:
#7 Lionel Simmons
#14 Travis Mays
#18 Duane Causwell
#23 Anthony Bonner

Funny, I was at the one for Sean Elliott, man I was so geeked for that season. I remember wanting season tickets so freaking bad. I think they had a draft party when Dwayne Schintzius was drafted as well. I seem to remember the crowd being pretty excited.

I remember when they drafted Bill Curley and the trade for Elliott hadn't broken yet, so Pop announced to the crowd "We went with Bill Curley to back up David Robinson" and was booed.

Yeah, I was going to mention that. I think that was the last time the Spurs ever had an official draft party that involved the front office. CIA Pop and draft parties don't mix :lol

I went, took a few nice pics, caught a shirt...

and got seriously pwned by the Coyote on rock paper scissors

He sits back and waits till you throw first dirty dog.

My friend recorded it on my camera, it's a shameful showing. I might post it for laughs.
