The Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors have discussed a possible trade.

League executives indicate that Phoenix could send Amare Stoudemire to the Warriors for a package that would include Andris Biedrins and the No. 7 pick in the draft.

What on earth are the Suns doing? :lol

The Rockets offer is better. Beidrins and an unknown vs

Landry/Brooks and T-Mac and his 23 million dollar expiring.

League executives say the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors have discussed a possible trade that is centered around sending Amare Stoudemire to the Warriors for a package that would include Andris Biedrins and the No. 7 pick in the draft. But Warriors coach Don Nelson is telling friends that there’s nothing seriously brewing there.

damn, Phoenix is in fire sale mode it seems :lol

Maybe Kerr really is still working for the Spurs and is just applying the final nail to the coffin :lol

Oh man...We can give them Finley and Bonner + all of our draft picks for him. I gues Kerr would like that. :)

Doesn't the other team occasionally have to win in order for it to be a rivalry?

It really wasn't a rivalry, to be honest.
Not a rivalry if 1 team is always beating the other.

Damn, Jackson/Randolph/Stoudemire would be a hell of a running front-line. They wouldn't win any titles or anything, but that team would be fucking fun to watch.

Yep, and that's why the nail is officially in the coffin. Any chance of a rivalry is now completely dead.

Whatever rivalry there was between the Spurs and the Suns has now set. Good bye Phoenix, Kerr and Sarver have done you in.

Considering it does look like Kerr is blowing up the team, that's not a bad deal for the Suns. Biedrins and the #7 pick. Plus, they have the #14 pick as well. They can pick up some nice young pieces to rebuild with. It would almost necessitate trading Nash too though.

RC + Pop should ring Kerr and ask what it would take, then this board can really get into collusion talks. :downspin:

But that's a whooole different rivalry only because of the history between the two.

That is a terrible trade for the Warriors. Holy crap they better pass on that.

Biedrins is a young athletic freak who plays solid defense. His offense is coming along as well.

beindrins is sorta of a bust

i could see the warriors being that 2007 warriors that knocked the mavs out of the playoffs if they can get a big man shooter who can run the court

The Cavs chose Shaq over Amare?

As far as D12 counterpunches go, I'd take Shaq over Amare. And while he's younger, he's still got a ton of injury concerns following him. Plus he doesn't play D, which is a big no-no for Mike Brown. Plus he's dumber than dirt.

I hate Shaq as much as anyone on this board, but as a one year rental I'd probably take Shaq over Amare. Unless I was the Warriors, where Amare would only be asked to run, jump, and dunk. He's more than capable in that regard.

The Suns said they'd consider it if the Cavs threw in Wilt Chamberlain. Don't know why the Cavs didn't pull the trigger.

I think that would be a better move than Shaq. Only giving up Wilt Chmberlain, Wallace and KG for Amare. Thats a solid trade

Hey, if you like Shaq over Amare, that's cool with me. That's your opinion.

I'm saying it's a mistake, Cavs should have gotten Amare if he was available. We'll find out in June.

I'd definitely trade Amare for Biedrins, the #7 pick, and perhaps another young player (Randolph, Wright, or Belinelli)--as Paul Coro is reporting it: http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/PaulCoro/56269

Yeah probably. if they get their 2010 pick back then a definitive yes.

DPG21920
06-25-2009, 05:14 PM
That would obviously be independent of this deal though. I still think it is very good deal for the Suns with our without getting the pick from OKC.

Robin Lopez for the pick is the latest, no? That is easy in your book.

I'd lose a lot of respect for Sam Presti if he gave them the 2010 pick back for Lopez.

If I'm Phoenix, I do the trade that was just reported on ESPN, and I wouldn't have to think much about it..

Biedrins is already a legit player with potential, Wright has potential, and they get a #7 pick..you have to do it..
