He rabidly wants to get the UK out of the EU. I don't know what kind of implications that would have or if he'll ever be in a position to effect that.
He's stated himself though that he's probably too conservative to ever be in any position of real power in the UK. A move over here probably would fit him more tttt.
In Britain their conservative party would be like liberal lite over here. He's to the right of them.

Leave the EU. The UK is clinging onto any thing they can to give reasons why the should stay in the EU. Mainly, "Climate Change" agreements.
Daniel Hannan is one of the few politicians who is the real deal. He is one of the few true voices for liberty.

Republicans aren't any different than Democrats. Their primary motivation is to preserve their collective careers, and their collective power. The GOP in general proved as much when they failed to enact term limits as they promised when they took the majority back in 1994. In fact, the good they promised only lasted as long as the voters were paying attention, and then it was back to business as usual.

Very true. I pointed out some months back that there are parts of the Articles of Confederation (http://www.law.ou.edu/ushistory/artconf.shtml) that I though we should have kept. I was bashed really bad, even after specifically referring to the part that says:
No State shall be represented in Congress by less than two, nor more than seven members; and no person shall be capable of being a delegate for more than three years in any term of six years; nor shall any person, being a delegate, be capable of holding any office under the United States, for which he, or another for his benefit, receives any salary, fees or emolument of any kind.

Term limits was probably the stupidest commitment I've ever heard of, senators don't get acclimated till the first 4 years in office, so there was some logic to them not abiding to it, but they still lied.

That's why we elect them president after 3 and a half years.

The GOP needs someone with the balls to tell off the social conservatives who seek to use the state to impose their worldview, instead of reducing the role of the state in social issues altogether. Americans generally prefer personal liberty. The GOP needs to embrace it fully.
