NBA TV has got to be kidding. The "living room effect" with Andre Aldridge, Fred Carter and Gail Goodrich talking over the broadcast is beyond horrific. Let it never happen again. I can't stress enough what a bad idea this was...

I think the Spurs finally realized they were no longer "at altitude". They came out flat, but busted loose. Tony looks sharp, and the 3ball is falling. Marks and Nazr are contesting everything at the rim on D.

Spurs Fans,

Longtime lurker, new poster from KY.

This NBA TV situation is driving me nuts tonight! I went to NBA.com and left them an e-mail with my thoughts.

This is by far the worst sports broadcast ever.

Everyone who is being forced to sit through this ridiculous broadcast should let the NBA know how stupid this is.
I'm sure it won't do any good, but it might make us Spurs fans feel better.

Are you fans in San Antonio able to see the real broadcast? All of us out of towners are stuck with this NBAtv mess.

How long has NBA TV been doing this?

bradio

I was at the game last night. The SBC Center and a home game blows the Pepsi Center away big time. Spurs are always giving away something during timeouts. Not in Denver!!! Trust me, it was lame compared to the Spurs. And so much for watching them play live in their black jerseys!!

There is no way the programming director could watch this broadcast and come away thinking anything other than it's truly awful. I seriously doubt NBA TV trots this abortion out there again. This does not work on any level.

Any win is a good win with this roster. Glad to see Barry show up tonight. I've noticed that his last good game, he got fouled hard by Mutombo vs. Houston, and tonight, someone opened up his eyebrow with a cut, and he goes off. Maybe he can only focus when he's pissed off.

It bothers me that he seems to need external motivation to get off in a game. That's not always going to happen, in fact, probably hardly ever will. Are we supposed to wait for him to get knocked into the basket standard, and then say "Ah, Barry will start playing now..."? WTF?

At least it shows he has passion, he will get pissed if something happens out there and he makes sure he will do something about it.

Better than giving up on the game, you can hardly have beef with him for stepping it up after a hard foul.

exstatic

I DO like the fact that he gets motivated when pushed around, xc. I DON'T like the fact that it seems to be the ONLY time he goes off.

04-02-2005, 11:49 PM
Spurs were fortunate Kobe didn't keep going to the basket to try to convert or draw the foul. He had time. That is a signature shot for Kobe but he had Rob on him with Rasho in the center of the lane. As good as Kobe is at drawing contact and calls, I was surprised to see him pull up and shoot the fade-away.

Whoever is making the decisions at NBATV should have their feeding tube removed. It made me send my first ever e-complaint.

RE: Spurs-Lakers NBA TV broadcast

WOW! That was beyond horrible. There is a reason that having a courtside play-by-play and color team is now the standard, it's because that is the most entertaining and informative way to watch a game. I pray that tonight's "living room" experience was nothing more than an experiment, an experiment that will never be tried again. I'm sure your getting flooded with similar e-mails so I won't go any further. Just know that tonight's broadcast was very very painful, the kind of pain that is normally only felt during nude snowmobile accidents.
