I think it's a very good sign that he can play and dominate a taller and bigger player.

if his knees stay healthy, about 20 teams will shoot themselves in the head for not taking him

Big if though

Damn the guy looks good. How come all undersized 4's are the ones that hustle their asses the most. He reminds me of Maxiell or Reggie Evans

I can already hear Mahinmi begging out of practice once Blair shows up.

"Blairitis" we could call it. :toast

Yeah Ian might be a little to soft to go up against this guy with heart. This man is all hustle and heart, he is not afraid it seems and we need that here.

Like Charles Barkley minus quite the quickness or hops, especially the way he lowers his body into players before going up.

If they can get him into the training facility and loose some of that baby fat, I bet he gains some hops and quickness.

7'2" wingspan though (and that was confirmed). wingspan is also a big plus in the NBA.

I really like the fact that we didn't have to trade up to get this guy. He will want to prove the 20+ teams that passed him up why they were wrong to do so. If he picks up a mid range jumper he will be a beast in no time.

Straight to Chip England he goes!

He looks like he already has a decent turn around jumper from the video against Thabeet.

That's good and all, but again Thabeet isn't this guy...

I harp on this because Gasol was the guy who killed us when Tim wasn't in the game. There are going to be times in the playoffs (should the Spurs meet the Lakers) that he's going to guard Gasol. I don't want the Spurs getting killed.

After watching how physical Blair was on Thabeet, One post up on Blair by Gasol would instantly have Gasol into the fetal position for the rest of the game. :lol

I hope they don't make this guy lose weight, it's his weight that makes him what he is.

I thought that once upon a time, but a funny thing happened during the 2009 playoffs. Gasol appeared to grow a pair. He banged with the Rockets who tried to push him around. He banged with the Nuggets who got in his face more than the Rockets did.

And finally he went at the DPOY and made him look foolish at times.

Plus, Gasol improved his defense drastically.

I hate to say it, but Gasol is a beast these days and should a toughness no one thought he had.

Shawn (cleveland)
Are there any players that you particularly would love to play with?

DeJuan Blair
There are lot of good players out there and I want to play with all of them. I would prefer to have a veteran on the team that I can learn from but if I go to a young team that would be fine too. We can all learn from each other and help one another continue to get better.

Matt (Australia)
Hey DeJuan, what's your secret to outplaying Hasheem Thabeet?
DeJuan Blair
Just go at his chest and knock with off balance so he can't block my shot. Go straight up.
