It is a sad day whenever we have to experience loss of family members and loved ones. When it's someone that you've practically grown up with, it affects you differently. Michael Jackson will forever be missed. I hope that we will celebrate by going into our garages or storage areas and finding the OFF THE WALL, THRILLER, BAD, BEST OF JACKSON FIVE, and DANGEROUS albums and jam the day away.
Listen to those songs that made you feel all good and tingly inside. I will listen to Dancing Machine and robot until my wife tells me that I'm embarrassing her. Or Billie Jean and start moon-walking until I break something in our living room. There are other ways to celebrate his life, go on and do what you feel.
I didn't realize how much Michael changed the world until I went to a shoe store and they told me they didn't have size 13 penny loafers. Prior to then, guys from my area didn't wear penny loafers, or when I bought my "BEAT IT JACKET," and when I showed up at school 15 other people had the same jacket as well.
I guess there's no other way to express that we're definitely going to miss Michael, but we can be thankful that we were able to experience his music and talent in more ways than one. God Bless you Michael.
