LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Pop star Jessica Simpson has been cast as Daisy Duke in the big-screen remake of "The Dukes of Hazzard," a project that essentially marks her feature film debut.

Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville already had been cast as Bo and Luke Duke, respectively, in the Warner Bros. project. Jay Chandrasekhar is directing. A start date has not yet been set.

Neither Jessica nor Jennifer would make good Daisy Dukes. They are WAY TO SKINNY!!! What made Daisy hot was how she filled up her outfit. Simpson or Hewitt would just not cut it. Some one with a Beyonce type body should be cast for this. It won't be done of course, since they need some ditz with star power to bring out the crowds to see this movie. I used to watch the show and yes, I did like it, but they're going to MTV it to death and that sucks.

Daisy needs curves damnit!!! The song doesn't say flattening them speed bumps now does it?! There supposed to be hills!!!
