"8:58...the first time I've ever been early for work, except for all those daylight savings times....lousy farmers."

Beats me!

The whole concept does not convince me. It's supposedly a scheme for saving energy, right? Any data how important the savings are?

Mountain time follows DST, it's just Arizona Moutain Time that doesn't.

They do it just to confuse the hell out of me whenever I go to Phoenix. :devil

No kidding. I lived in Tucson for a year. Nothing like bright sunshine at 5 am.

Nothing like your shoes melting on a tennis court in Phoenix in the middle of summer either. True story.

They should just set it 30 minutes one way and leave it! I hate driving to work with the sun up, and leaving work in the dark.

I was always tempted to try and fry an egg on the sidewalk. One time, some power plant in CA had problems and it knocked our power out in the midlle of summer for a good 8 hours. THAT was fun!

Back on subject. I'm tired from changing all my clocks!

The best part of springing forward is the built in excuse for being late for stuff the next couple days.

At our house Mrs. Chopper will change some of the clocks, but not all of them and so when I'm home I'm never sure what time it really is for a couple of weeks.

In the fall that's not too bad because there is always that small chance that I'm actually ahead of schedule, but in the spring it kind of sucks to find out that you're an hour late to an appointment because you incorrectly trusted the clock on the counter near the shower all morning while getting ready for work! :lol

I let the clock in my truck stay behind for 6 months one time. Eventually it was right again.

We did that in Phoenix when I was a little kid. We tried to cook bacon next to it, but it didn't work.
