Now that he has been traded from the Orlando Lakers, is Alston talking about Lakers Assistant coach Stan Van Gundys decision to start play big minutes Jameer Nelson? Also about Nelsons final defensive play, backing up inside of the 3 pt arc and giving Dereek Swisher more room to shoot the game tying shot?

When only a trey could force OT. :lmao

Stan Van Gundy, like George Karl and Don Nelson, is just a goofy overweight man in general. Not sure how you can coach when its obvious you haven't played much.

:lmao typical rookie Spurs fan on this site. After getting owned by a Suns/Mavs fan they make a random comment about one of the two teams. I already knew that trade was shitty, that trade had nothing to do with this topic. I'm still waiting to hear how Don Nelson hasn't played much.

so forgive me for not being so old lol

been watching since 93, unfortunately i dont know much about what happened before

No not at all, only reason I know is cause he was on the Boston team that beat Phoenix in 76. He's way before my time. Just a word of advice about this, you'd be surprised about what coaches have played. I'm pretty sure Van Gundy even played college ball.

lol i actually saw nellie once. we were at the executive suite at the (hilton?) in phoenix years back when dallas was playing the suns (they have a separate lobby at the top floor). my uncle is reading the paper eating a cookie when nellie sits down next to him, takes a cookie and says, "these are good cookies."

afterwards he gets up and goes to his room. my uncle didnt even know who he was lol
