I was shocked to learn that the Hornets has the highest payroll in the league.

TOP 10 as follows:
1. Hornets
2. Lakers
3. Wizards
4. Celtics
5. Jazz
6. Spurs
7. Mavericks
8. Knicks
9. Miami
10. Nuggets

6 of the top 10 didn't make the playoffs or were eliminated in round :lol

Paul to Lakers?

A list of top payroll at a well-connected fan website shows that the cash-strapped Hornets top the list. Could they have to dump Chris Paul like the Bucks did Randy Jefferson? The Lakers are in need of a point guard to replace the aging Derrick Fisher. Could they land Paul? They don't appear to have the assets necessary to land him, but that didn't stop them from getting Pau Gasol. Could crafty Mitch Kupchak assemble a multi-team that gets the Hornets the cap relief they need, maybe including Tyson Chandler? Stay tuned.

Uh...I'm pretty sure the Knicks payroll was around 90 million wasn't it? The Spurs ain't even close to that.

Hornets with the highest payroll? WTF GTFO...this list is wrong.

I'm not sure why you guys are saying that list is wrong?

It's pretty accurate...

Knicks used to top the list but they got rid of Stephon Marbury's $20 million
Lakers used to be lower on that list but Bynum's contract kicked in. Lakers will go even higher when they re-sign Odom/Ariza
Spurs are high with newly acquired Jefferson
Cleveland Cavaliers will go up when Shaq's contract kicks in.
Hornets have had a relatively high payroll for a few years now, that's why they've been trying to dump Peja and Chandler

The reason I think it's wrong is cause I know the Suns payroll isn't that low, even after the Shaq trade.

Oh I get it's not counting Nash's salary since it's a team option.....dumb list then.

Hornets are high for giving Stojakovic and Chandler silly contracts.
Wizards dumped like 100 million dollars for Agent Zero to sit in a suit.

CP3 will never be traded, ever. Jeff Bower is a pretty crappy GM, but the only way paul walks is if he opt out. Get off what your on!

No, I had a question mark at the end, so no matter how utterly asinine or nonsensical the proposal, it can't be scoffed at.

Chris Paul to QB Saints?

Yes it can. CP3 isn't going to LA unless Kobe is in the trade.

Not a good time to compare payrolls. Some teams have a really high number, but basically have all their rotations players, whereas others are lower but will go up after big signings.

lol the rockets all the way down there. We have the cheapest owner out of all these.

And out of the 65 million, 40 million of that is never going to play for us again. Fucking Yao and Tmac

Knicks are not the highest salary team. As of today Starbury came off the books.

That's because Les Alaexander is tied with Peter Holt for the lowest net worth of any owner in the league.
