I don't want to see him on West teams that might play us in the playoffs. That is all.

In the East, if he can get himself a shot at a title, good for him.

As for our chance of seeing him in the Finals? I'll take that chance.

And no... he's not dirty. He's just Bowen.

Hmm, would be interesting, but you don't feel any different Bowen or not, if you got a chance to win a ring you go through anyone.

Bowen would KNOW that he is going to go left...

I wouldn't worry about Bruce killing anyone. What would be flashing through my mind is that block he had on Billups down the stretch of game 7. Bruce sniffed out that transition 3 attempt PERFECTLY. I can only imagine how well he could anticipate a guy he practiced with for that many years.

Cmon get real...it's S.A or retirement. End of story.

But I would not be surprised if Ferry/Brown DOES pick up Bowen...who better to get "Under" Vince Carter's skin than Bowen.

hopefully retirement, we need his services about as much as we need Finley's

i wouldn't be surprised if Bowen winds up on the Cavs. They are a defense oriented team and might jump on the chance to have Bowen as a defensive specialist.

With Finley returning I'm not sure I see the place for Bowen on the Spurs roster if there really is going to be any kind of youth movement.

Oh yeah, Bowen and Pop had a falling out. ;) Bowen's ready to leave town. ;)

Working like a charm.

Just like Brent Barry was "seriously" considering an offer from Phoenix.

How would it be a "nightmare" if spurs fans are saying that bruce is "all washed up"?
Won't happen..
I mean, the cavs won't make the finals. :lol

I love Bowen, but I can't see him shine anywhere else this year, and probably even not if he came back to us. I'd still take him with open arms for the vet minimum though

I don't think Bowen is necassarilly "washed up", but whatever team grabs him has to understand that A) they're playing 4 on 5 offensively, B) Bowen is not the be all-end all defender of the leauge, and C) Bowen is 38 years old and slowing every year.

Don't underestimate his corner 3, it's deadly.

Nobody can ice Manu, that's why he's Manu.

I'm sure Manu and Bruce have gone against each other in practice enough that Manu won't be fazed.

IMO, Raja Bell seems to bother him more than most.

Nightmare? I think Bowen and Manu do a reprise of their HEB commercial.. now wouldn't that be fun.LOL

I don't underestimate it at all, but that was very much a part of the Spurs offensive gameplan, with Tim and Parker kicking the ball out to shooters. You have to wonder if other teams would look for his corner three as much, or if they'd value it the same way the Spurs did. Knowing scouting and coaching in the NBA, I'm sure teams are well aware of Bowen's capabilites, but damn if the Spurs didn't bring that out to the fullest. Could another team replicate the environement he thrived in? with an aged Bowen none the less, and brand new teammates/coach/etc?

I'd love to see Bruce do well wherever he goes, and no, I still dont think he's dirty.

Bruce isn't what he used to be...and sure Bruce would know what our players are doing but the same is true vice versa. It doesn't bother me or worry me in the least bit.

B.S, bruce is coming back

Lets rundown the flaws with this "nightmare"

1. Bruce is either coming back to the Spurs, or he's gonna retire. I lean toward the latter.
2. Shaq does not get the Cavs back to the Finals. The team actually needs an offensive game-plan that is more than "get the ball to "The Bron" and run away"
3. Mike Brown will not be coaching in the NBA by the time the NBA Finals roll around next year.

i love bruce but manu would tear his ass apart and not cry like vince carter when bruce pulled some shady shit on him.

Bruce is NOT coming back. Get over it people.

Da Spurs
07-01-2009, 08:23 PM
Not so sure about him not coming back. Why not? He loves SA and he's fine with his minutes last year. Pop saved him for the playoffs and his minutes increased dramatically at the end of the year. The Pop/Bruce fallout is all a bunch of BS.

HAHA that'd be so fun to watch. i'd love to see it, doesnt sound like a nightmare at all. bowen is who he is, we've all accepted, he's fun to watch, he's great for the game

if the spurs dont re-sign bowen i plan on following him wherever he goes

blizz
07-01-2009, 08:30 PM
his minutes increased out of desperation. you KNOW that the pop/bruce thing is bs? you KNOW this how? enough ppl have reported it...you never saw the guy come off the bench...i dunno...it practically sells itself.

I think the article is asking spurs fans if we think bowen is dirty when he's going against bowen. my answer is no. he's competetive, but he's not trying to hurt anybody.

What I want to see is Bruce retire, and then go back to San Antonio in a coaching/scouting/FO role. So long as he's involved with the organization in some way I'll be happy!

Bruce Bowen and Tim Duncan are the only players in the league right now I will never talk shit about. Ever. Bruce Bowen is a spurs god, and we should all be praying to baby jesus that he comes back.

Watching Bruce Bowen play for another team would be just as bad as watching David Robinson and Tim Duncan play for another team.

Please don't happen.

Doubtful. Fin started it, which would be unlikely now that he's a Spur.
