ShamSports.com Zach Randolph traded to Memphis for Quentin Richardson. No word on whether Jaric is in the deal. If he is, OK. If not......well then, whoops.

The Clippers now have $20 million in cap space for next summer, even after adding Griffin's salary.

Baron Davis / Mike Taylor
Eric Gordon
Al Thornton
Blake Griffin
Chris Kaman / DeAndre Jordan

That roster with $20 million in cap space. Hmmmmmm.

Memphis is so fucking retarded. They should have just kept Pau if they wanted a PF making 30+ million over the next two years. Pau is way better too, obviously.

Holy shit, Chris Wallace really is a damn fool. Why would anyone want to take on Zach Randolph?

He's a better low post scorer than everyone on the Grizzlies. The only person who compares is Warrick. Altho Randolph has a tendacy to take 25 footers instead of going to the block :lol

And the Clippers throw their hat into the ring for LeBron, Wade, and Bosh. It'll be interesting to see how Griffin looks in prime time; if he duplicates his NCAA dominance in the show like Duncan did, you know LeBron would seriously have to consider playing in the nation's number 2 media market.

G Davis
G James
F Thornton
F Griffin
C Kaman

6 Gordon
7 MLE-level player with remaining capspace
8 Lottery pick

With Gordon walking to Detroit, you now have both New York teams, an LA team, Chicago, and Miami with capspace to not only add James, but another significant player in addition. Today has been a very bad day for Cleveland.

Lebron vs Kobe in LA. That would be interesting.

I think on the day of the Gasol trade Pop made some public comment to the effect of Wallace being not very good at his job, and he took it personally.

The only way anything the Grizzlies are doing makes sense is if they are just trying to go bankrupt as quickly as possible so they can get out of their lease in Memphis.

I do not think this is true at all. But wow...

The Los Angeles Clippers opened a starting position for No. 1 pick Blake Griffin on Wednesday.

Randolph

Richardson

The team agreed to trade power forward Zach Randolph to the Memphis Grizzlies for swingman Quentin Richardson, sources told ESPN.com's Chad Ford. The deal was first reported by the Los Angeles Times.

The trade can't be finalized until the league establishes the salary cap July 8 and lifts the moratorium on player movement.

The Clippers acquired Randolph from the Knicks last November to fill the void left by Elton Brand signing with the Sixers. Randolph averaged 20.9 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest in 39 games for Los Angeles. A knee injury cost him time, however, and the Clippers limped to the worst record in the league.

On draft night, the Knicks traded Richardson to the Grizzlies for center Darko Milicic. Richardson won't play a game for Memphis. The nine-year veteran averaged 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds last season. He now returns to the team that drafted him in the first round of the 2000 draft.

This makes absolutely no sense at all imo. Zach on the books until 2011 for 17.3M.

Wow that's not a bad start to rebuilding. Maybe they should try to dump Davis for some first rounders. Not a bad start but they are the Clippers for a reason so I'm assuming things won't pan out for them :lol

Trades like this make me question how legit the Gasol trade was. First I thought there was no funny business behind it and it was overblown, but Memphis is contradicting their words with their actions by doing this trade.

Zach Randolph is probably one of the last people I would ever want on my team. I think that anyone on the Knicks during the isaiah thomas era is the last person I would want on my team. Amen.
