What is blair's last reported weight again? He looks much thinner than when I saw him play just a couple of months ago..

What do you anticipate or hope to gain playing with Tim Duncan?

DeJuan Blair: I want to learn the whole finesse game. I got the power game. I just want to learn, learn to be skilled. I just want to learn as much as I can from him.

It must be incredible to come into the league and know you're going to get to practice with and learn from, and even get court time with, one of the greatest to ever play.

I like the kid. I hope he does well.

He seems to be thrilled to be a Spur :tu

I love the cool demeanor, he has charisma.

And thumbs up for the polo, nothing beats a classic Lacoste

It sounds like the Spurs drilled into his head that they were 28th in the league in offensive rebounding last year. If Blair just concentrates on offensive rebounding next year, he could have a pretty big impact right away.

What the hell, RC Buford's eyes are the scariest eyes I have ever seen in my life. They belong on like a Robot or something

I said the exact same thing in the "Spurs Criminal " thread :lol

Especially when he is not smiling, really scary

Has this been done before for a 2nd round pick? A presser and a jersey? Does this mean that he will get a guaranteed contract for sure?

Question for anyone who has seen him play (I haven't; just seen clips and read reports):

I know the ROY is Griffin's to lose. But, for the sake of argument, let's say he pulls a Oden or something and Blake doesn't get it; HOW REALISTIC THEN WOULD IT BE FOR BLAIR?

I mean, does he actually have that level of talent?

DeJuan was very cool and a very down to Earth kinda guy. Didn't hesitate for a second on answering any of the questions submitted and is very excited to be on the team.

And thanks to everyone who sent questions in, we had a couple of hundred in less than 24 hours.

Absolutely yes, he has that ability, though the scenario is still far-fetched. A lot of things would have to break right for ROY to happen.

Blair is motivated. I'm confident he'll make our roster and see plenty of playing time next season. I am worried about his knees. How well will they hold up over 82 games?

Q. What's your goal for next year.

A. I want to be named rookie of the year.

If he can be a major player on a top contender he's got a good shot at least of being named to the rookie first team. Even just seeing his face you can see he's taken off quite a bit of weight.

I'm a lot more excited about this guy than I am jefferson. It's nice having a young Big Nasty on this team.

Probably not. Chances are he doesn't get the minutes to compete for ROY.

Even as a significant part of the rotation, his job would be to go out and rebound. ROY is pretty much reserved for whoever has the highest PPG average amongst rookies.

Just watched the video. Loved RC stepping in and answering the question about Blair's knees. He basically said: Look, this kid has been a winner at every stage of his career. All he's done is won games. He doesn't want it to be an issue, I don't want it to be an issue, Pop doesn't want it to be an issue. So would you kindly STFU about the damn knees already?

I might have paraphrased part of that :)

First off RC is one creepy ass mofo :lol. You can tell he's still bummed about falling so far down but that's understandable. I think he's landed in an excellent situation and he'll have plenty of opportunities to prove himself. Great vid :tu

its a shame we dont have KT anymore. he would have been the perfect mentor. a tough, nasty, filthy dirty rebounding machine who is nearly as reliable as the sunset.
