This movie has like a 97% on rottentomatoes/ like 3 out of 87 reviews are not favorable. Most of the main reviews I've read have claimed best action movie of year to date, best iraq war film yet, and best overall movie so far this year. You can bet your ass I'm seeing this-probably Sunday. This and Bruno could be a good double feature.

I saw Bruno last night, I plan on seeing Hurt Locker tonight. After watching the trailer a few weeks ago, there's no way I miss this one.

Best Iraq war movie to date. Best action film of the year. Movie will probably get a best picture nod and Jeremy Renner will probably be in the discussion for a best actor nomination, I thought he was fucking awesome in the movie.

Saw this last night. Fuckin awesome flick. IMO this summer has sucked ass besides hangover and terminator salvation (yes i know most people thought this was a letdown). All other movies just didn't meet expectations. So I'd say Hurt locker is probably my favorite film of the year-some really good action and pretty intense parts.....check out the sniper part and a few of the bomb parts. Highly recommend this to anyone who likes movies.

Nice, glad you liked it man. Yea there really isn't a set plot-it's just following around a team of soldiers and seeing how they go through random events. Gotta check this moon movie out still. Glad a few good movies finally came out.

It was a pretty good movie. Slow but good. The first scene was pretty intense.

Pretty good. The stress is palpable in many of the scenes and the intensity of those scenes reaches very high peaks.

Saw it tonight. Really REALLY suspenseful, especially it being an action movie. I liked it a lot, although it really didnt have a set structure or plot.

9/10

This and Moon made my weekend.

WTF do you mean it didn't have a plot? Of course it had a plot.

I'm studying cinematography and I don't get what the fuck he meant with it not having a plot either.

P.S. I get the sarcasm, I'm just saying.

Rewatched it this morning. Pretty amazing on how much the intensity is conveyed even on the second viewing. Amazing movie.

Loved this movie, thought I'd be bored or it would be a documentary style film but I was surprised.

The plot is there. It's not a simple We all gotta go from point A to point B kind of thing, you've gotta understand the situation of the soldiers and what their goals are in this movie to get the plot. Hint: The days left in rotation isn't just a interesting caption.

I give it 3.5 jalapenos. The action scenes were intense.

I could have done without the part where he was looking for the "body bomb" kids family.

I would have SO whacked those three guys in the minaret signaling to set the bomb off. Just put a whole 20 round clip in their ass. YouTube guy would have gotten a triple tap too.

Ok... Just watched it for the 2nd time hoping to grasp the percieved greatness of this film.....uhhh no....it still sucks.
Why? I've never seen a film that tries so hard to be melodramatic in its emotional heavyness....its almost like watching reality tv the way these actors performed....it was like they were regular people that knew the camera was on them so act accordingly...SELL THE DRAMA. I didnt buy any of it.

The directing style is straight out of television drama...its annoying(you know...the handheld herky jerky BS....the insta-close ins when there's nothing going on but a simple conversation...LOL) This movie is just crap. Sorry.
