Maybe Fernandez is on the block now? He wanted an expanded role and now he is getting a reduced role. Hope the Rockets can pick him up.

The Suns better jump on Rudy Fernandez (unrealistic but all I can do is hope these days), if this is true.

We'll see Turk does when he needs to do more than shoot over Delonte West to get to the finals.

Bonner + Finley for Batum or Fernandez

Make it happen.

Blazers should go small ball and play Hedo at center since they don't have any healthy centers on the roster.

Wow...

Batum
Outlaw
Hedu
Webster

Who am I forgetting? That's a lot of small forwards.

I'm pretty sure outlaw will be as good as gone after this.. not sure about webster and rudy though... rudy will probably stay to back up roy and batum to back up hedo.. or go small in the 2nd unit with bayless, rudy, webster, batum, pryzbilla.... but to tell you the truth I have no idea hahaha... this is a cluster fuck lol.

Completely different scenario. That trade saved Milwaukee money.

lol Spurs fans that bitch about Finley non-stop then expect to be able to trade him for a promising young player.

The original funk & junk, jr. (Predrag was funk & junk, sr.) movin' to Portland. Kobe won't have to travel cross country now to push Hedo's shit in.

Anything can happen. Throw in a draft pick and some cash. If Blazers were so keen on their young talent, why go after Hedo then?

That makes no sense whatsoever....What the hell does one have to do with the other? What reason does Portland have for doing that trade?

You should ask yourself the question "Does what I'm about to post make any sense whatsoever?" before you post it.

On top of the fact it doesn't even work salary cap wise, that trade hurts Portland financially where they get back more than double the payroll they give, all of that on top of the fact they'd be trading two role players with a lot of potential for two players that would never play.

This is the NBA where anything can happen.

"ol Spurs fans that bitch about Finley non-stop then expect to be able to trade him for a promising young player."

hey dumbshit there's the reason for my reply. Blazers will have Hedo, Batum, Outlaw, Webster at SF.

I said Batum OR Fernandez. Not both. Learn to read.

If you didn't respond to my :lmao post that argument would fly, but the fact you got defensive and responded with "ROFL Suns fan all they need to do is throw in a draft pick and cash anything can happen" makes it pretty obvious you're just now claiming the trade was a joke after realizing how retarded it sounded.

Why are you getting so defensive if it wasn't serious?

PS - it still wouldn't work, and it would still be retarded for Portland to do.

Doesn't change the fact they have no reason to do that trade.

Finley salary: 2.5 million for 1 year
Boner salary: 2.97 million for 2 years

Fernandez salary: 1.08 million for 2 years
Batum salary: 1.04 million for 2 years

Spurtacus

I don't expect a trade to happen. But I can think wishfully, can't I? Perhaps you didn't notice but most Spurs fans want Bonner/Finley gone. My post was a positive spin for us on the Hedo signing.

So what do you expect the Blazers to do with all their SF now? Why sign Hedo when they have "a promising young player" as you put it.

Blazers will be looking to shed cap space.

DUNCANownsKOBE2
07-03-2009, 02:18 PM
Blazers will be looking to shed cap space.

Which that trade doesn't do at all.

And idk what Portland will do with their SF, they'll either try to get a player for them or as you said get cap space.

Blazers could get cash considerations and also buyout Finley.

Plus, Frye is currently a restricted FA. He may be on the Spurs radar, so a sign and trade is a possibility.

Yeah theres no way Portland gets something out of trading with us, plus finley's contract I believe is guaranteed so buying him out would still go on their cap.

Not true. If Portland wanted a 1st round draft pick and where high on a prospect like Splitter, they could definitely get something out of a deal talent wise, while clearing roster space and saving money.

hedo will take some pressure off of roy but i still see the blazers as a collection of a bunch of B+ players. there really is no dominant player on the team and the teams seems to lack a focus.

brandon roy isn't dominant? lamarcus aldridge isn't dominant?

lamarcus just needs to get more looks and demand the ball more. he shoots a good %

He shoots a good percentage for a jumpshooting big. Roy is coming into his own but he isn't quite dominant yet. What they need is a solid PG.
