what is the secret plan that the FO is about to unveil? I feel like the Spurs are playing the Godfather and very soon a player, we want, will contact us and we will make an offer he can't refuse. We have 2 money packages to offer so that can't be it. # of years? Guaranteed starting status? Why not make the damn offer by now and then move on if it's rejected. My uneducated guess is that there is "Sheed" as the #1 option or we then move to a number of B plans. Do we really want Wallace for 3 years? Either way Wallace already knows SA,he knows Timmy, he knows Pop---does he really have to 'visit' to make up his mind. We are not wooing a vestral virgin---show him the moneyand put him on the clock,

The front office is making me nervous waiting this long in FA. But, if everyone else knows it, they must realize how incredibly thin they are at c/pf.

And yet plenty of good players have been taken up.

Calm down. It's been two days. Two days for a team who loves a low profile and doesn't have a bunch of ESPN talking heads tracking their every move. I assure you the front office has not decided to just skip free agency this year.

Plenty? As far as I know only two big men have gone so far, and they're not the two at the top of our list.

+1

What is wrong here? Is this the first FA you guys are going through?

I'm 100% sure the Spurs have made calls to Sheed/Mcdyess and their agents. As well as any other big men they have interest in. They arent going to hold a press conference every time they make a phone call. Calm down people.

Shit, calm down. Free Agency has only been open for TWO days.

I should be able to blame the front office for not revolving their free agent negotiation plans around my neurosis and impatience as a fan.

Now I remember why I usually hate this time of year.

There's a thread stuck at the top of the forum called, General NBA Free Agency 2009 Discussion. There are multiple threads about Rasheed. These random topics can be placed in one of these threads instead of starting a new one.

Thanks.
