Indeed. No one wants Allen Iverson, I can bet you even the worst teams in the league don't want this guy. It seems so long ago now that this guy was tearing up the league as MVP.

He really exposed himself in Detroit. Even if I was the Grizz I wouldn't touch that guy with a 10 foot pole.

Maybe the Suns will sign him :lol.....what they're doing with free agents this year is the equivalent to asking the fat girl to prom because you're worried all the other girls will reject you.

The team might suck but don't tell me it wouldn't give me something to watch.

The play I hate from Iverson the most is when he dribbles until there's about 2 seconds left on the shotclock, then he passes is to a teammate who has to launch up a prayer. Then when the teammate misses the prayer, Iverson will have a look of disgust on his face.

It seems so long ago that many of us were saying what a terrible acquisition he was for Denver, and how much worse he was for Detroit. Iverson's Kobe without the extra seven inches in height and without the most talented team in the league around him.

Nash does the same thing......but since he does save the planet commercials it's ok when he does it.

Not to go off topic here, but how tall is Allen Iverson? I've heard so many stories of him being 5'10 or 5'11 but I've also heard from people who have supposedly met him say he is 6'0 or even 6'1.

You can't tell. Iverson is closer to the camera than MJ so he's going to look bigger.

it really wasnt that long ago when AI along with tmac and vince carter were all hailed as league greats, being compared to MJ, this and that. their all old and washed up now. MJ was still winning rings in his mid thirties, tmac cant even get on the court

just to show you that trends come and go, but the spurs have been consistent winners over the years :flag:

No, he's to smart for that.

He waits till there isn't a camera on him, where he pulls strings behind the scene and gets the player traded. SOOOOOO much better.

Tight market could limit Iverson's deal

The Denver Post and wire services
Posted: 07/03/2009 01:00:00 AM MDT

Heat president Pat Riley (http://www.denverpost.com/topics?topic=Pat%20Riley&searchTerm=Pat%20Riley) has contacted Allen Iverson (http://www.denverpost.com/topics?topic=Allen%20Iverson&searchTerm=Allen%20Iverson) about joining Miami (http://www.denverpost.com/topics?topic=Miami&searchTerm=Miami).
Iverson, a former league MVP who has averaged 27.1 points over 13 seasons, might be willing to accept an offer of one or two seasons in what is expected to be a tight market.
Iverson, 34, is coming off a rocky season in Detroit (http://www.denverpost.com/topics?topic=Detroit&searchTerm=Detroit) that ended with complaints about his role. He left the team before the playoffs to treat a back injury.
Although discussions with agent Leon Rose (http://www.denverpost.com/topics?topic=Leon%20Rose&searchTerm=Leon%20Rose) are believed to be in the initial stages, the Heat would likely be interested only if Iverson is willing to accept less than the full mid-level amount.

Iverson was never really good anyways. The only reason why the sixers got to the 2001 finals was because the team defense made up for his ineffeciency. Once the defense disappeared, Iverson couldn't get anywhere. Most overrated player of all time.

Btw, i laugh at your username. Kobe has the edge in head to head playoff series wins and just last year destroyed Duncan's team.

And because it was perhaps the easiest road to the finals in NBA history.

The 2001 Spurs, Suns, Kings and probably a few other teams I'm not thinking of would have made the finals in the Eastern conference.

He wants to get paid and wants to be the man. Nothing wrong with that. He won't win but that is ok.
