How funny would this be?
Word coming out of LA is that Mike Brown and Danny Ferry flew out to LA to meet with Ariza and his agent who is having second thoughts about committing to Houston. it was reported on 710 LA and I have this picture of Ferry and Brown in Los Angles. I don't have a solid link just yet, but there will be more to come if it is true. I hope it is just so I can razz Rockets fans

it really is Mo Williams I just didn't feel like arguing with him. There are some posts on there from last month where you can tell it's him and not a fraud.
Plus, who would make a fake Mo Williams twitter?

The same sort of person who would subscribe to Comcast for the purposes of sounding like a retarded Greek on a basketball forum. They do exist.

I hope it's not true. But I guess if he didn't sign the contract, he can always change his mind.

Stay classy David Lee.
doesn't make too much fo a difference, i do think we're over paying him though. if he leaves it'll be cleveland's mistake to signing him to so much and we get a higher pick nex tyear

and whats the deal with the Rockets holding a press conference for Trevor Ariza? Aren't press conferences for major acquisitions? You just picked up a bench player who is a nice piece, but he isn't going to be a savior of the franchise

If Ariza joining the cavs is enough to take down the laker, then i'm all for it. I don't hate the cavs, but I do despise the laker.

Look how pathetic you are. So obsessed with the Lakers that you would see your own team weakened just so an entirely different team could in theory, beat the Lakers.
Weekend basketball fans like you disgust me.

I'm a Thunder Dan fan and all, but has he EVER posted a rumor that came even remotely close to coming true?
Anyways, the Cavs are set, they managed to keep JJ Hickson aka Karl Malone 2.0

The Cavs still need an athletic PF to play next to Shaq, but Ariza would be a great pickup for them.

yeah becuase Ariza would be a piece to a very complex puzzle the Cavs have assembled to win a championship. Who knows what the hell the Rockets are doing. They are a mess and aren't close to contending

So, if something were to happen to Lebron, could the Cavs still contend?

Didn't you start this thread sissy?
I honestly don't see why people even care about Ariza. As soon as he leaves the Lakers we won't hear this guys name ever again. He's a player that blossomed under Phil Jackson but is a scrub in any other system. Book it.

yeah I started a thread, I didn't hold a press conference to introduce him to the media. Big difference

who cares, we got Lebron. He isn't hurt, he dedicates himself to keeping his body fit unlike Yao and TMac.

he would rather go somewhere where he can be the man rather than come off the bench. He has loser mentality and probably likes soccer and probably even played soccer as a kid.

ariza is 1 for 2 in nba finals also....not too bad. i can see why he wouldn't want to go to cleveland. who the fuck would? lebron knows that he has to get out of the rust belt.
from wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleveland,_Ohio#Economy
However, in recent years, the Cleveland area has lost nearly a dozen corporate headquarters, including TRW, OfficeMax, BP, and Oglebay Norton, mostly through acquisitions or mergers.[109] The city is expected to lose the headquarters of longtime institution National City Bank, having recently been acquired by PNC Financial Services, based in Pittsburgh.[110][111] In 2005, Duke Realty Corp., one of the area's largest landlords, announced it was selling all of its property in the Cleveland area because of the stagnation of the market; however, the company continues to maintain a large office building portfolio in the southern suburbs.[112] The commercial real estate market rebounded in 2007 as office properties were purchased at a record pace.[113] From the beginning of July to the end of September, 2007, there was one residential foreclosure for every fifty-seven homes in the metropolitan area,[114] and ten percent of the city's homes are now vacant, due in part to the rise in foreclosure filings.[115] Many of the foreclosed homes are vacant and have been vandalized.[116]

Looks like the Lakers were in cahoots with Artest for a span of time.
That bodes well for the return of Odum. But, this length of time in silence concerning him is a bit alarming. If God forbid Odum went elsewhere I can see the Lakers (especially Jackson) just getting their stubborn on and attempting it with the roster as is + Artest.

Why would Ariza pick a non-championship contender over a team that was a Yao injury away from a championship?

I think they'll get something done. There's probably not many teams that can sign Odom or those that can, Odom may decide to pass.
I read in the paper over the weekend that he can sign a one year deal for 7-8 millionand go into free agency next year (2010). I don't know if that's worth the risk for him but I think he'll re-up with LA.
Then your team will be set for the season. :)

Ariza will never live it down if he fucks Houston over for the LBJ's after having been committed to them for like three days, that would be the slimy of all slimy moves. Ariza was my favorite Laker last year, now he and his agent just come off like a bunch of greedy slim balls, it's sad.
