Settle down,

Lakers are still the royalty of the NBA; I don't see anyone challenging them next season; you guys are pretty pathetic; you are getting excited about signing a washed up, banged up old fart.

And no, I just didn't rephrase Louis' post

How are the Lakers gonna sign Odom? They already are way over the cap at $84 million. Doesn't he want like $10 mill?

True however some of the Spurs fans behave just as bad.

We can be rivals amd show mutual respect to each other's team.....don't know why it's so hard but I guess some like to talk smack.

They offered him $7.5M I believe, but I think Portland is willing to offer him more. The problem is I don't think Odom cares about the money that much and might be willing to sign with the Lakers for that price tag. Lets hope he is shallow and follows the green!:toast

The Spurs will essentially have five pieces against the Lakers in the playoffs that they didn't have in the 2008 WCF: Jefferson, McDyess, healthy Manu, an improved Hill/Mason.

The Spurs are the favorites.

Meanwhile the Lakers have Ron Artest to disrupt their offense and lost a Finals starter.

For sure, looking forward to it, glad the West is staying strong too.

The Spurs got a player that helps them do what they do best even better. I look forward to seeing all the major team matchups. Celtics, Lakers, Magic, Spurs, and Cavs. It is going to be a rollercoaster season.

I would also disagree wholeheartedly with anyone that would argue that an upgraded championship team would not be the favorite vs any team in the league.

In order to play the top seed (Lakers) you're gonna need to advance in yhe playoffs...which you won't be able to do if ya'll face the Mavs. We all know you are a moron on here but even you realize this :elephant

Depends on if you consider it to be an upgrade (rather than a side step or bringing in a chemistry killer), I s'pose. All things will come to fruition soon enough and we'll see. Thanks for the proppers though, s'gonna be some heated battles.

8. Mahinmi
9. Bonner
10. Finley

Don't count the Mavs out if all their deals go through. I hate them, and their team annoys the hell out of me, but Gortat-Dirk-Marion-Howard-Kidd with Berrea and Terry off the bench can get hot and cause a lot of matchup problems for either us or the Lakers.

I don't think the Mavs will win it all, but I think they could knock one of us off.

I have always given props to the Spurs Especially Duncan, Manu and Pop.
I have said many times I would take Pop over Phil (but now iwth 10 I would take Pop 2nd to Phil only)
I also think Duncan was better than Shaq except in Shaq's MVP year of 2000

Only spurs i dont like were Bowen and Parker ....in fact Spurs were my 2nd favorite team UNTIL I moved to SA and saw all the Laker hate ...but I respect your team ...your fans are a mixed bag.
