I haven't had AC in my Saturn for the past 3 yrs. I may decide to get it fixed it this year since my sister knows a vato who fixed hers for $25.

Good to hear you got that shit fixed. :tu With the weather being as fucking hot as it has been, getting into a car is pretty much the equivalent of crawling into your oven and baking yourself.

I hate riding with my bro in his shitty old Impala. That shit's AC ain't worked in years man and that thing is sweltering. I got a lot of hair man, this heat really gets to me.

I have never, as far back as I can remember, ridden in an unairconditioned car in the summer. I think I would die. I have however been on the back of a motorcycle in the summer and I'll kill myself before doing that again.

how much?

New compressor, dryer, refrigerant and labor $560. These guys are cheap and do good work.

My brother worked construction for years in Phoenix driving a black Ford Ranger with red vinyl seats and no AC. He survived. Toughen up there, CC!!

*on a side note...my brother is nuts. I was in Texas last week and the only time I was outside without air conditioning was when I was literally running between air conditioned spaces *

Who owns a hybrid. Does the AC cool the Toyota Prius? How bad is the gas mileage pulled down by the AC ?

Yes, the ACs work on the hybrids. Yes, it pulls down the mileage so I'm only getting around 40 instead of mid-40s in this extreme heat.

I got my AC fixed last week. I had gone for awhile without it, but needed others repairs anyway so just spent the money.

my car A/C hasn't been working for a few months. It works off and on, but mostly it just blows out hot air.

on the motorcycle, I've been riding in shorts and sleeveless shirts...

Where at? The AC in my tahoe finally went out and I"m probably going to need the same stuff.
