Denver has now moved ahead of Memphis and is gaining on Sacto.

This is best case scenario.

Memphis stays 8th, Sacto moves to 7th, Denver 6th.

SA would practically get a bye when they play the easiest team in the WC playoffs, Sacramento. Phoenix would get a test with Memphis, Seattle would have their hands full with Denver and Houston and Dallas would slug it out in a I 45 showdown.

SA would then get Seattle or Denver, who would not have HCA against us.

Phoenix could be beaten by either Dallas or Houston.

SA would get HCA back in WCFs.

I hate to break the bad news to ya. But there's no such thing as an "easy team" in the playoffs. Especially when your best players are shaking off the rust from injuries.

ok smart guy, which team of the eight is the easiest?

I think if you poll the forum, Sacto would be the choice for SA.

We won season series, they have no real post presense, they have been beat up healthwise even moreso than us...it is a no brainer.

Denver is playing good now and won't be an easy matchup for the Spurs.

I want to avoid Denver til the WCFs...they are a bad assed team.

They are 25-6 since Karl took over.

They have inside offense, outside offense, interior D, they can run, they can post up, they shoot FTs well. Their weakness in 3 pt shooting and rebounding so they can be beaten, but they will offer a tough series to anyone.

Not that it would make such a big difference, but is Brad Miller out for the season or is he expected to be back for the playoffs ?

Houston could drop to 7th also. I think that there aren't easy matchups. The west is too good. The Spurs have to earn the title like every other team out there. If they get thrown out of the playoffs, they don't deserve the title. As simple as that. A complete an healthy Spurs team should be able to beat anyone anywhere. The better team wins a 7 game series...

A
complete an healthy Spurs team

That is the problem

The Spurs might not be healthy til the 2nd round, which is why I want Sacto.

The good thing now is that all the rounds are best of 7 so it is harder to be upset in rd 1.

Check out the remaining schedules. I think, Sac 5, Den 6, Hou 7 and Min 8. Memphis is screwed, their schedule is unbelievable.
