Walter Cronkite, the face of CBS network news for decades, has passed away today at the age of 92. Rest in peace.

He went to my middle school in Houston back in the 1920s, and he came to speak to us when I was in the eighth grade - still an impressive speaker back then, one of the best voices ever.
