If it wasn't for Jordan pushing off on this shot my boys from Utah would have won game 6 and easily triumphed in game 7.

LOL! He did escort him out of the way quite splendidly. And Russell nor Sloan ever really made a federal case out of it. Gee, when the Kings got their pants taken down in '02 the Magoofs threatened to take it to Congress for remedy, but, the Jazz just took it like a trooper.

The Jazz are used to taking like a trooper... That's all they know how to do.

Besides, Jerry Sloan would col'-cock anyone who dared complain to the media about that play. Not in his character to use the media or press conferences as a platform to get more favorable officiating, unlike some other coaches...

I'm more apt to believe it was strict edit from Miller. He, like old man Carter there in Dallas never barged onto the low road.

Possibly, but we'll see if anything changes with Sloan's coaching now that Larry is gone. I still think Sloan has that franchsie by the balls and has free run to do whatever he wants. Miller may have played a part in it, but most of it is Sloan doesn't take any crap from people and will ream you for whining to the media, kinda like Popovich.

Look at what happened to Drew Gooden after he mentioned to the media that he'd like to play more with Duncan and him on the floor together. Gooden hardly EVER saw the floor with Duncan again, after that. Sloan is the same way with Kirilenko.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Sloan is a moron, but I do agree with you that he was badly out coached in game 6.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda still gets you 2nd place though.

BTW it wasn't just the push off that irks me. It's the Eisley 3 that was wrongfully taken away and the Harper jumper that was allowed even though he clearly got it off after the shot clock. That plus the idiotic final play call to post up Malone 15 feet from the basket using Hornacek as the screener. WTF was Horny setting the screen for? You need him as a spot up shooter and Malone facing the basket so he can hit him when the double team comes. Total bogus play call from Sloan.
