Great video. Manu has brought a lot to this team and has made the Spurs even more exciting. It's going to be a sad day when he leaves or hangs it up. Thanks Santi and Thanks Manu for all the exciting momentshttp://www.spursreport.com/forums/images/smilies/smile1.gif.

Can't believe this guy was chosen that late in the 2nd rd, biggest draft steal ever. Great video, Manu is an incredible basketball player.

yeah. seeing the clips from the 2005 playoffs reminded me how freaking dominant Manu can be when healthy.

Even with that deep thigh bruise in the finals, he was the best player on the planet that postseason.

Manu buried the pistons on games 1 and 2 of the 2005 Finals... last weekend i saw both matches (i finally got my 16 DVD 35 year Spurs anniversary pack) and defensively he owned Prince big time throughout both matches...

On game 5 he was the spark that made the whole team believe...

The last 2 playoffs must have eaten Manu alive inside. I expect him to be renewed this season. He is unique! Like Maravich he has a style all his own that is hard to describe or duplicate. It is indeed odd that it took so long for the Spurs to bring him over! Isn't he the best foreign player to ever play in the NBA? Sixth man? Closer? Viva Manu!

Manu is a beast!! Best draft steal ever, it will be a long time before that happens again for any team. I would say he is the best foreign player ever. Dirk who?!!

As good as Timmy and Tony are, when the game is on the line in the closing minutes, Pop puts the ball in Manu's hands. That is the ultimate tribute from a coach to a player.

What was he like 12 years old when he said, "si, me tengo mucha fe". How about when the coach for the other team asked, "Qien puede defender a Ginobili? Yo, No vos No(LMAO)" By the way, and this just might be a pet peve of mine, why are Spaniards and Argentinians the only ones who still use vos? It is archaic as shit.

Awesome video by santi.

some things about the video:

* In the one on one at the begining he's playing agaist Pepe Sanchez.

* The first interview "Creo que mereciamos ganar nosotros por la garra que pusismos" means "I think we deserved to win because the effort"

* The second interview:

periodista -hay entrenadores que piensan que el mas chico de los ginobilis es el que va llegar mas lejos.
manu -No creo, pero puede llegar a ser
periodista- te tenes confianza?
manu- si me tengo mucha confianza.

means:

journalist-some coachs think that the younger of the ginobilis the going to go further.
manu- I do not believe, but can be.
journalist- got you confidence?
manu-Yes I have a lot of confidence.

* The third interview:

periodista- que significa este titulo para vos?
manu- No nada, nada. Lo importante es haber participado de esto que es muy importante para nosotros.

journalist- what means this title (MVP All star game in Argentina) to you?
manu- No nothing, nothing, the important thing is participate, that is really important for all of us.

Bench Cam (THE BEST):

Coach "Che" Garcia - ¿Quien puede defender a Ginobili?
Player "Paco" Festa - Yo
Coach "Che" Garcia - No, vos no
Player "Paco" Festa - Yo
Coach "Che" Garcia - No no, vos no!

Coach Che Garcia - Who can defend Ginobili?
Player "Paco" Festa - Me
Coach Che Garcia - No, not you
Player "Paco" Festa - Me
Coach Che Garcia - No no, not you!

LMAO

I agree! IF he's 100%, I expect to see a focused and invigorated Manu.

I felt bad watching him squirm on the bench; yu can tell he really wanted to be in there. Poor Baby! :)

Always loved Ginobli. His game, his attitude, everything. Ultimate competitor who lives for the moment and steps up his play when it matters. I'll never forget him taking over game 7 vs Detroit in the final minutes and putting that game out of reach.

I remember after the last season of our threepeat in LA, we played SA during a couple regular season games and I found myself hoping we could avoid them during the playoffs because of Manu. I felt like he had the potential to be a laker killer at the time and wanted to avoid them if possible. Turned out I was right, and while he didnt exactly explode on us in the postseason he played very well and was a part of why SA ended the streak. Had nothing but respect for him since.

Hopefully he can get his ankles back to somewhere near full strength and we can get LA and SA back as the cream of the west where they belong.
