It's about time Barry stopped sucking. Big dog looks solid, hasn't lost his shot. TD comes back, hopefully Devin and Spurs are ready to roll.

I never doubted him, so i have no ass kissing or apologies to make, i would like to say I'm very happy he has found his stroke and hope this little streak continues for the next oh, lets say... four years

Whott, would you please :stfu. This is what Barry should have been doing from day 1. This is what he gets paid 20 million for. I like Brent a lot, he's my 3rd favorite player on the team. But I am not about to kiss his ass for doing something that he is supposed to do.

Right on, he is playing well finally as expected.

(Which is exactly what I expect Nazr to do as well soon)

I don't have to...because I wasn't hating wrongly.

Barry deserved the "hate" he was getting earlier in the season. He sucked.

Now he deserves praise because he's been playing great.

whottt
04-06-2005, 10:54 PM
He's shot better than Stephen Jackson did the year we won the title....and doesn't need Duncan to do it...

He's been playing great in our most crucial games of the season - Duncan and - Devin(I get a free pass for giving games away) Brown...

His fate will be decided on if he comes up clutch in the playoffs. If he chokes like Hedo, then he'll be back to being hated by Spurs fans.

I never thought jackson was a great three point threat
I did think he was clutch as long as he did not drible the ball though

Once again,

lets see it during the playoffs.

Thats when the apologies or hating will begin.

Uh no...the hating began in the regular season...

so what, when he shoots bad, were supposed to what, say nothing?

whottt
04-06-2005, 11:17 PM
350% is bad? leading the team from 2 is bad?

T Park
04-06-2005, 11:25 PM
Of course its not :rolleyes

Only you could justify a "shooter" shooting 35% being "good"

whottt
04-06-2005, 11:34 PM
35% from 3 shooting is respectable...it's certainly not bad.

If it's bad then fucking 40% is average...

Guess what? That's a top 20 career mark in NBA history...

35% shooting is respectable..and it's better than Jack shot...and Steve Kerr himself, the great 3 PCT shooter in NBA history, shot 31% his first year on the team...

Generally speaking if you can shoot 30% you are considered a 3 point shooter...

Barry was only a disappointment by his own standards...and the hate was way overblown...

If he sucks in the playoffs I'll be the first in line to hate...but it's not the playoffs...and he's hit as many big shots as Jack hit in the regular season that year....and more than Hedo who only hit 1.

Once again, props to Barry for tonight.

Hope he brings it tommarow night, also someone should tell him he can drive to the hole on the Mavericks.

I hope he has at least 12 to 16 tommarow.

They are gonna need it to make up for no Manu.

Hate the bad play, not the bad player?

so what, when he shoots bad, were supposed to what, say nothing?
If his shot is bad but he is doing other things, like assisting and runing a smooth offense, then you should not say he sucks. There's more to scoring. Even for a shooter like Barry.

I just hope Barry continues to take open shots and take them with confidence. That's the big change I've seen from him during his successful run. If he does that, I have no doubt he'll be successful in the playoffs. I just don't want him passing up open looks and hessitating when he shoots. That's what he was doing for most of the year and he's our sharp shooter. If anybody's gonna take an open look from behind the arc, I want it to be him. I don't want him passing up good looks for the opportunity to get someone else a better look. If he can get it off with space, I want him taking the shot and shooting it with confidence. He's too good of a shooter to be clanking iron for very long if he's shooting with confidence.

It wasn't bothering me that he was missing three point shots. It was bothering me that he was passing up open three point looks and shooting with a lack of confidence. I'm glad to see Barry is taking what his rightfully his.
