It is nice to have another scorer especially a guy who has a great jumper, but he will be the spurs 4th or 5th option at this point(not second).

Glen, understandbly, looked nervous and tentative, not at all the off-court badass of his reputation. But that nervousness didn't bother his shot. I guess he's what is called a natural shooter. 13 minutes, not bad.

It depends who goes after him at the end of the season, if anyone as to if the Spurs have anything they want to offer him. He is a vet now and worth no where near what he once was. What contract do you guys think he would end up with at the end of the season? From us or from another team.

First of all, he did touch the ball. Secondly, they were running plays according to instructions and trying to win a basketball game. It wasn't a try out for GRob to just launch shots. They know he can hit jumpers.

I just though it was funny though, cuz beno and marks both ignored big dog on a couple plays and one of them resulted in that backcourt violation
he had his hands at his chest the entire time waiting to catch and shoot

If Robinson is even 75-80% of himself and accepts getting 15-20 minutes a night, and Duncan is healthy, the Spurs will be officially unbeatable.

Did you have mention Mercer in my topic? Where the hell did that come from?
How about he was calling for the ball, because he was the best scorer on the floor at the time, he was unguarded and Beno and Marks are nobodys??????
Glen Robinson is a 20 ppg C A R E E R scorer.
Beno needs to be put in time out.
Mercer is not even in the same class as G Rob.

Shoogar your right, if Robinson is 75 to 80 percent of what he used to be, wich I cant see why he cant be, this team is officially unbeatable.
look at this lineup.
Horry
Duncan
Barry
Robinson
Ginobili
Hot damn thats some shooting.
Bizzaro rotations?? I dont see what would be bizzaro, but Bowen or Ginobili will have to sacrifice some minutes.
IMO, thats where Robinson comes in.
Rest Manu in the first half, let Robinson get the bulk of the minutes, let manu be rested up and dominate in the end of the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Duncan has to be down right fuckin giddy to get back to playing.
Kori Ellis
04-07-2005, 12:02 AM
but Bowen or Ginobili will have to sacrifice some minutes.
I think Bowen will always play 32+ mpg in the post season unless the Spurs are involved in blowouts. So I don't think GRob cuts into his minutes. How many minutes per game do you see Robinson averaging into the playoffs? 15? 20?

How bout sending Rasho into Cotton Candy sales?

Robinson isn't a power forward. He's a small forward -- he doesn't play very much down low. And the coaching staff believes Rasho is their best interior defender, so he isn't going anywhere.

Re: Spurs Sign Glenn Robinson!!!
Wow, Glenn Robinson sounds like a winner.
Adios Spurs, youve lost my season tickets.

In that first thread, T-Park actually called someone who supported the move a hypocrite (of course, he didn't actually spell it like that). Look it up kid and then take a look at your moral denunciations followed by your G-Rob lovefest. But be careful not to tip your bandwagon over while you're considering these things.
