Just to know that I'll have people my age that is easier to relate to some things and speed up the game a little bit.

whippersnapper is usually used with "young," and means "a diminutive, insignificant, or presumptuous person"

Hills grammar in that sentence is pretty messed up. I get the feeling he was distracted or maybe even editing it and didn't go back to make sure it flowed.

Either way, you get the idea: there was a cultural divide on such an "old" team, with Hill being one of, if not the only guy on the young side. I am about the age of the oldest players on the team, and recognize that alomst all of my friends in law school are at least Parker's age (one rare exception), because they can talk kids and jobs and are generally much more mature and in a different life stage.

Parker is married, has been on the team for many years, and so is put into the "old" side...
