<FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>Are you for or against PETA? Well at least their ideals and philosophies. Describe which you are for or against if you are split.

Oh and PETA is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, not something from the Taco Bell menu.

I'm against cruelty to animals, but not the the extent that it's going to dissuade me from indulging in my Dooney & Bourke fetish.

I really never thought about Peta much but I guess that I should be in favor of it...I saw Pamela Anderson on TV talking about it & she made it sound like a good thing...I guess that’s why those movie stars are on TV...They are just smarter than most folks...

Actress Pamela Anderson seen on Wednesday's 'Ellen DeGeneres Show.'

"KFC stands for cruelty," Anderson said in a statement. "If KFC executives treated cats or dogs the way they treat chickens, they could go to prison on felony cruelty-to-animals charges."

Sorry but this is just too easy to pass up. If anyone would know about having meat in their mouths it would be Pamela Andersen.

There's nothing wrong with loving animals, but PETA's flaw is that they care about animals more than humans. Check out Penn & Tellers "Bullshit" episode on PETA if you get a chance, they tackle a ton of controversial issues on that show and yet the PETA episode is the only one that has resulted in death threats from the great PETA minions.

PETA fun facts:

PETA has stated repeatedly that their goal is "total animal liberation." This means no pets, no meat, no milk, no zoos, no circuses, no fishing, no leather, and no animal testing for lifesaving medicines.

PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals.

PETA has used their contributors’ tax-exempt donations to fund the North American Earth Liberation front, an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for fire bombs and death threats.

PETA spends less than one percent of its $13 million budget actually caring for animals.

PETA has repeatedly attacked groups like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, for conducting animal testing to find cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases.

The no animal testing for life-saving medicine is the one that really pisses me off, especially since several of the PETA leaders have diabetes and take INSULIN! INSULIN which was developed using ANIMAL TESTING! Making PETA fucking hypocritical douche fucker **** fucks!

I can't stand PETA, they are nothing more then a bunch of extremist who you can't reason with. but one thing I find quite interesting about them, is they have claimed over and over that they champion democracy, and according to PETA's own sources they have around 800,000 members in the United States. according to the 2000 US Census there are over 271 million people living in the United States. yet they want 271.2 million people to cave into a group that makes up less then one half of on percent.

and really as far as I'm concerned, PETA should be listed as a terrorist organization. they fund money to ALF, and ELF who are terrorist organizations. their members practice illegal methoods to "try and get their point across" including burning down fur factories, chaining themselves to bussness doors, throwing blood/paint/urine/feces on people who wear fur or eat meat. but if anyone was to do something similar to them, they scream they are being persicuted.

i think having certain protections and "rights" for animals is a good thing, but PETA, like Green Peace, can sometimes go a little overboard with their message. sometimes i think i like animals better than people anyways :dog :cat :elephant

I think PETA is dumb. I think how they protest isn't.
