There are very few popular rappers out there who can actually throw down a truly rhythmic verse that is dynamically unique and lyrically expansive while remaining cogent and cohesive. If a song needs to use the n* word to complete a beat, that's usually a bad sign.

50 Cent is a primary example of this, but there are a plethora of horrible rappers, and always have been, especially since it shifted toward the club scene and has become primarily about making as many sexual references as possible in a single chorus. There's nothing wrong with that per say, but I'm old enough to realize that rap used to have an actual message -- something to say. Now it's mostly shit.
