"It certainly doesn't take a basketball savant to figure out what the NBA's main event will be on Christmas Day. The league typically uses the holiday to showcase its top teams (or juiciest story lines) to the masses, so the report (http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2009/07/cleveland_cavaliers_expected_t.html) out of Cleveland that Shaquille O'Neal (http://www.fanhouse.com/tag/Shaquille+ONeal/), LeBron James (http://www.fanhouse.com/tag/LeBron+James/) and the Cavaliers will face Kobe Bryant (http://www.fanhouse.com/tag/Kobe+Bryant/) and the defending champion Lakers in the afternoon game should come as no surprise."

Not sure if this is thread worthy, but it's a slow week

Yes. & with a passion. He hates him for Daddy's weaknesses and he hates him because now Daddy knows Kobe's weaknesses.

"It's real greaseball shit."

That is actually a decent matchup for a Christmas day game. Now that the Lakers are the defending NBA champs I don't mind the Shaq vs Kobe games. In years past when the Lakers had not won it all since 2002 I thought these games were pretty pointless despite the fact that O'neal won a ring with Miami.

It wasn't even so much Daddy Vs Kobe as it was Kobe Vs Wade. There was some real hammer & tong shit there. I recall that one play where Wade chased Kobe down after a steal, blocked it at the rim, the refs bailed Kobe out and they jawed more or less the remainder of the game over it.

That too was:

"Real greaseball shit."

I don't think its "Kobe vs. Shaq" anymore, maybe 5 years ago. Its "Kobe vs. Lebron"; Shaq is just a sideshow now.

Should be fun. It will be interesting to see what the Cavs do with Lebron now that they signed a couple wing players in Parker and Moon.

I just hope its in LA. It'd be a shame if our boys have to spend Christmas in that armpit Cleveland.

Normally you Laker trolls just irritate me. But damn, you're spot on with that. Nobody deserves that.:lol
