Who's the leader of the Nuggets? Who's the best right now?

Chauncey is the leader, but Carmelo is the best player.

Melo. Apart from 2004, Chauncey shrivels once the Conference Finals start.

well apart from last year, Melo shrivels once the playoffs start.

Yea, you asked two questions in the original post that could have and actually do have different answers. Billups is the leader. Carmelo is better.

Who would you rather have in your team for the next season to try to win a championship and why?

That's a tougher question. Mainly because if you look at the Nuggets and take either one off the team, their shit out of luck either way. Billups might be able to help them get a little further, but not much further and still not be able to carry a team anywhere close to a title. Carmelo is the better talent and seemed to improve last year. I'd probably still go with Melo because of talent.
Billups helped lead a team to a title, but it required him having the perfect cast around him and it was only arguable that he was the best player on the team. He probably wasn't. Sheed was the most talented. Rip was the most consistent and highest scorer. And Ben was the identity of the team and the anchor of the defense, which was the bigger reason the Pistons won it all.
With the right cast of teammates, Billups could probably help a team get close. But, based on pure talent, you have to go with Carmelo. And, at this stage of their respective careers, Melo is most likely the guy you rather have. A team can win a championship without being the smartest team or without have a perfectly balanced team (Miami). But, a team cannot win a title without talent.

Chauncey. There were times last season where Melo was hurt, and Billups was still able to lead the team. Take away Billups, and the Nuggets are going to be in shambles.

Melo should win this battle easily, even though Billups is underrated.

Although Anthony is more talented,I voted for Billups.
This guy is a proven leader and winner while Melo can't lead shit(2004-2008 Nuggets).:toast

Melo wasn't going anywhere 'till Billups got to Denver, besides who got more MVP votes this past season?
