OU has a better football tradition than USC???? USC has 10 National Championships.

There's a reason so many people live and vacation in California. I can't say the same for Oklahoma but I'll leave it at that.

Um...if I may interject, I do believe he said National Championships. And going by the NCAA Division I National Football Championships, since it started in 1869, USC has 10 National Championships, 1928, 1931, 1932, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1978, 2003, and 2004. If you include years in which they ended the year as #1, which a lot of sources do, they actually have 11, in which you could add 1939 as well. You might want to try more than a website than anybody can edit as your source.

Nice chart what web site did you use.

The one i was looking at ou at 16 nc. not sure if it is the same with all school but the Sooners only count the ap titles

OKLAHOMA has 16 recognized by NCAA, but only credits itself with the 7 consensus titles.
