Clippers waive Mike Taylor

Jul 31, 2009 5:50 PM EST

The Los Angeles Clippers today waived guard Mike Taylor.
Taylor played in 51 games for the Clippers last season, making five starts and averaging 5.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 15.1 minutes.

I know this guy didn't do so great in this year's summer league, but he looked really good at times last year. With this being his second year, I can't say that he would fulfill a vet 3rd pg role here and probably wouldn't want that role seeing as though he could be a 2nd tier or starting pg, but I can't believe they just cut him. They must believe they are set with Davis and Telfair.

I agree that he looked great last year. But I'm not sure with we can afford to gamble on him.

We don't need any more new players. Our system is too complex to keep adding new players and expect to win a title.
