Metallica's best music is pre-1990. All their albums after ...And Justice For All are shit.

You're telling me AFI wasn't that band?

What do you mean it might be AFI?? Ha, you obviously havent hear black saily in the sunset, or the art of drowning-plus sing the sorrow is a almost perfect album and then december underground is awesome. And no that secret "cookie" band isn't AFI, and yea I could easily replace metallica with say incubus or offspring but I put them in because of S&M-which was the best mix of a symphony and rock music ever created, you should listen. Anyways you should make your top 7! ha.

But like I said each name is subject to criticism. AFI is mostly known for their last album but sing the sorrow is amazing - a cd you listen to all the way thru-celluloid dream

I own S&M. I own every Metallica album up to and including S&M. And one good live album doesn't make up for 3 shitty studio albums. Garage, Inc. is halfway decent only because it has Garage Days Re-Revisited in it's entirety. not to mention Lars Ulrich has become the bukkake boy for the RIAA.

You do understand the point of this thread, right? Metallica did their best shit during the 80's glam metal era. Everything post 1990 sucks balls. So for him to say Metallica is one of the top 7 bands from 90 to now is recockulous.

Nirvana was overrated. Pearl Jam and Soundgarden were better.

Wow. Dude, you're completely right. That CD that cost 600 bucks to make really cemented them as a true "band of the 80s".

naturally a band who debutes this year would be considered the band of the 2000's?

Because Nirvana is at best the 4th best band of their "era" or "style" (i.e. the grunge era)

AFI, chili peppers and post 90's Metallica all suck balls.

not even going to take up afi cuz im sure youve listened to about 2 of their songs, but chili peppers suck since 90's? hahhhhhahahhhaha, oh wow. You should probably listen all the way thru californication, by the way, and Stadium arcadium. Of course theres blood sugar sex magic that aint bad either, ha.

As for dates, don't get all nit-picky on that, if a good amount of the groups music was made from 90 on then put them in.

As for Nirvana just can't put them in my top 10-i do like some of their music but think they are the weakest of the grunge bands i listed

And wow good call on Oasis, whats the story morning glory is a classic.

Radiohead is the best band since the early 90's- probably the best band since the 70's

Pearl Jam is also very good, but not on Radiohead level (and I'm a card carrying 10 Club member and a huge PJ fan)
