The word in NBA circles is that Los Angeles Lakers (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/4553) assistant coach Kurt Rambis will be the next Timberwolves (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/4556) coach and Mychal Thompson, the former Gophers star and Lakers (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/4553) teammate of Rambis' who now is a radio broadcaster for the Lakers (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/4553), has made a strong recommendation.

Damn, Maybe that means that Lakers go after former Laker B-Scott next year.

Naw. The cushy gig awaiting him as Flaker coach, he would be a fool to go with the T-Pups. Unless Phil has said he is going to ride the Gasol Collusion, Bynum, Bavetta-Crawford Train as long as he can.

Ever notice how Rambis trys to copy Phils mannerisms, ie voice, pausing, phony use of words in an attempt to make himself look intellectual?

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Ain't nothin' wrong with it.

& I'd be on board for Scott coming in after Jackson is thru.

I'll be happy and bummed at the same time if this comes true. I like Kurt as an assistant coach a lot but I really don't want to see him be the next head coach so if he leaves then that for sure won't happen. I'm hoping JVG gets the gig as the next Lakers coach, Kobe has already said he's one of the guys he'd like.
