I guess people can always fall back on the way he looks as a reason for not liking him, but the fact remains that Buckethead is awesome.

ehh, he isn't even on beat with the drummer for alot of those riffs. He has fast fingers but there's nothing sexy about what he's playing

I think you're a fool to not appreciate his talent. Any generation can easily be pulled in with his work.

Shredders are pretty cool but their sound is soooo over proccessed. I am leaning these days more towards a more straight up setup, just a distortion pedal, if even that, and the amp. Maybe a suppression pedal as well.

Buckethead is amazing.

I love this one song because it combines him and the vocalist from my favorite band, System of a Down.

I think he takes his act a bit too far (based on reports), but he is no doubt an amazing guitarist. Even 4 years after leaving Guns N Roses, neurotic Axl Rose wouldn't dare remove his contributions to CHINESE DEMOCRACY.

I can listen to the shredding, but prefer to hear Buckethead within the frameworks of an actual hard rock song.

He probably plays 23 hours a day and sleeps the other hour.

I admit I over looked this guy specifically because of his work with System of a Down. Now don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with SoD but I just chalked him up to another run of the mill collaborator.

After spending some time going through this guys body of work I'm pretty fucking amazed at his ability to stay off the radar and not just blow up within the mainstream media.

His range is fucking incredible. His early work reminds me of Stevie Vai or Joe Satriani. Easily a top 8 guitarist.

It's like buckethead has the pick of destiny in that video, lol.

i'm going to sound like a total dick, but he was a step or so off at around the 4 minute mark...but it still sounded amazing.

The tablature for that solo, printed out, would be 8 miles long.

The tablature for that solo, printed out, would be 8 miles long.and you would need six hands.

You should check out his work with Bootsy then, to balance it out:
