View Full Version : WTF is Bill Clinton doing in NK?

What is this douchebag doing in NK representing the interests of the US?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8182716.stm

Gotta love this: Although Bill Clinton's arrival was covered by North Korea's evening television news, it was not until after apparently more newsworthy items, such as the improving quality standards at a biscuit factory.

The NK propaganda machine is milking the trip for all it's worth, big surprise.

I find it amusing to be considered a right winger now just because I had the temerity to take exception to something done by a former Democratic president. Idiot, I'm used to ... but anyone who thinks the US Gov't has nothing to do with this trip is an idiot, too.

Here's the drill:

KIS wants attention.
KIS throws a tantrum, launches some missiles, nobody does much of anything.
KIS arrests a couple of American journalists and throws them in jail.
Ex-US President shows up to plead for release of journalists.
KIS, in a display of "humanitarian and peace-loving policy," releases the journalists, now that he has gotten someone meaningful to kowtow to his desires.
NK media use the episode to once again prove that KIS is a god and that he can get the imperialist lackeys to do whatever he wants them to do.

I'm glad Clinton was able to get the two released - but in so doing, the US once again has fallen into the trap that is so typical of US-NK relations over the last couple of decades. It's too bad the journalists put the US in this 'must negotiate' position in the first place.

Not all former presidents are married to the current Sec of State. I'm just saying that if a spouse of the Sec of State goes to a foreign nation to negotiate something, chances are the vast majority of the world is going to view that person as being sent by the US even if the US claims differently.

It's great they were freed - but I don't think they were totally innocent. I don't think they meant any harm or were spying, but they didn't just "wander" into NK - they knew they were crossing the border, but they hoped they wouldn't get caught.

Even so - their "crime" didn't deserve a sentence of 10 years of hard labor. And I still think it's funny that Bill accomplished what Hillary couldn't - and don't think for a minute that Hillary isn't pissed about it.

Lee, a South Korean-born U.S. citizen, is the mother of a 4-year-old. Ling, a California native, is the younger sister of Lisa Ling, a correspondent for CNN as well as "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "National Geographic Explorer."

They were arrested as they reported about the trafficking of women. It's unclear if they strayed into the North or were grabbed by aggressive border guards who crossed into China but recent statements suggested they admitted to deliberately crossing into the country.

I took this exerpt from the AP article posted on Yahoo News. So yes, the women deserve some of the blame. And you're pretty naive if you think that Hillary isn't at least a little pissed that Bill gets the credit when she got the criticism.

The women would have done something if kind of chance had been given. They appeared at a wrong place where they were not supposed to be when they got caught. It's sexing true that the NK governors have kind of crack in their retarded heads, but it seemed more than reasonable to jail two "journalists" who are suspected to be spies.

The real journalists sent abroad should be those with typical appearances of white people or black people, but not a couple of asian lesbians with dick faces. Clearly if they had managed to penetrate into a NK village, it wouldn't have been a difficult job for them to act as native koreans and live there for several years, collecting some valuable intelligence for their commanders like CIA. Besides, there have already been hundreds of cases about European and American journalists being jailed in some middle east countries like Iran, but none of them has ever drawn the attention of someone weighing as much as an ex-president does. It was Bill's first visit to NK for the only purpose of getting two common journalists released, I mean Bill hadn't even made one trip to NK during the 8 yrs when he was in office.

I suspect the two lesbians are trained agents hired by CIA and assigned to some asian countries for spying work. Unfortunately, they got caught not very long after reaching that area and hadn't got crap by the time they got arrested, and that's why the Koreans have already agreed to release them. I'm pretty sure they would have got executed if they had witnessed some evidence suggesting the Koreans were making some mass destruction weapons.

Midget Kim: A message... Hmmm... How about making them work?
Journalists: WTF? Work? Hell no! Just fucking waterboard us please?
epic fail, you made it as though the two lesbians were even dumber than the Koreans. :lmao Plus, it's surely an untrue declaration that everyone loves america, actually the United Stated is disliked by many people in world wide even including some Spurstalk members. However, these people shouldn't be blamed, as their innocence was caused by the biased and screwed education they received but not something they were born with.

LOL, I can't believe I forgot to play the lesbo angle. There was probably room for some Al Gore global warming somewhere there too.
And please retune your sarcasm detector, because that's exactly what I meant by 'everyone loves Americans, right?'...
