View Full Version : Why do the Clippers and Knicks have some many National TV Games?

they both suck and have nobody on their team that people will want to see. The Clippers have games on both Christmas and Opening Night... and ESPN is even airing a Knicks/Clippers game in December. Do they really think Blake is going to be that big? What a waste of air time. You are telling me that on opening night Lakers/Clippers was the best they could do?

Knicks sell and everyone wants to see the top pick of the draft.

I guess you would like more Cavs games on national tv.....

Who cares about National TV games, get NBA league pass and your set for the season

I understand why the Rockets don't have any nationally televised games, but the Clippers?:bang

opening night should include 4 of the following 5 teams: Lakers, Spurs, Magic, Cavs and Celtics

Cavs/Magic
Celtics/Lakers

Cavs/Celtics
Lakers/Spurs

there are so many better than the damn Clippers....people outside of LA don't even remember that LA has 2 teams.

lakers and rockets would even make sense.

what purpose does lakers-clippers on opening night serve? except to show that the lakers are the better LA team and the clippers need to leave, i don't see anything.

Should move the Clippers to Seattle, LA doesn't need two teams.

Because records are always made against the Knicks, and the Clips have BGriffin.

You are slippin Thunder Dan. I can't believe you didn't take this opportunity to point out that the Rockets have zero national TV games.

I can understand the Knicks bc they are in a huge market and have a run and gun style. I wouldnt have shown a Knicks/Clips game but rather a Knicks/Warriors game. Now that is a track meet. NBA should showcase intriguing matchups not garbage matchups

They have attractive, well-lit stadia, unlike that dingy dump in Cleveland.

Apprently people are tired of watching the lakers win.

They think airing the Clippers more often is a nice change of pace

How many games each do the Clippers and Knicks have on national tv?

Knicks sell and everyone wants to see the top pick of the draft.

You are right. Much like the league scheduled Oden vs. TD on the opening night only to see Oden got injured and couldn't play.
