Coming off their worst loss in four years, the San Antonio Spurs try to move closer to clinching the Southwest Division title when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers.
San Antonio had its lead over Dallas in the division reduced to four games Thursday when it fell 104-68 to the Mavericks. The Spurs and Mavs each have seven games remaining.
The loss was San Antonio's worst since falling to Seattle by 38 in a meaningless season finale in 2001. The Spurs also went 0-for-12 on 3-pointers, the most misses without a make in team history and just three shy of the NBA record.

``It was pretty embarrassing,'' said San Antonio guard Manu Ginobili, who scored two points on 1-of-9 shooting and missed all four of his free throws. ``Today was awful. We can't let this happen again. We have to play with more pride.''
San Antonio lost its sixth straight road game since two-time MVP Tim Duncan was injured. The Spurs haven't dropped seven in a row away from home since an eight-game skid from Jan. 7-Feb. 6, 1997.

``I think this is going to help us,'' Ginobili said. ``We have to be upset, angry. It's just a game we know we really played bad. We are missing Tim a lot, especially on the road.''
San Antonio beat Los Angeles 91-82 on Wednesday for its sixth straight win in the series. The Spurs are 26-4 against the Clippers since drafting Duncan with the top overall pick in 1997.
The Clippers got within 49-45 on a three-point play by Chris Wilcox midway through the third quarter Wednesday, but the Spurs made 10 of their final 11 shots, including four 3-pointers, to extend their lead to 72-57 heading into the fourth.
Corey Maggette led the Clippers with 23 points on 6-for-16 shooting, with only two of his baskets coming in the second half. Elton Brand scored 13 and Wilcox 10 for Los Angeles, which shot 39 percent and committed 22 turnovers.
``We didn't make shots, which could be the byproduct of the last game of a long road trip,'' said Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy, whose team played its seventh in a row away from home. ``We just didn't play a very good game.''
