Something they did on their website.

Took the top 40 (in their minds) programs in 1-A and made them their own division and everyone else in 1-A is dropped into a sort of 1-A lite.

Here is the new alignment for the 40 they kept:

BEAR BRYANT CONFERENCE
Alabama
Auburn
Clemson
Florida
Florida State
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Miami
South Carolina
Tennessee

KNUTE ROCKNE CONFERENCE
Boston College
Iowa
Michigan
Michigan State
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Penn State
Virginia Tech
West Virginia
Wisconsin

BUD WILKINSON CONFERENCE
Arkansas
Kansas
LSU
Mississippi
Missouri
Nebraska
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Texas
Texas A&M

JOHN MCKAY CONFERENCE
Arizona State
Boise State
Brigham Young
California
Oregon
Oregon State
Texas Tech
UCLA
USC
Utah

Interesting. USC wouldn't have their usual walk through the Pac-10, that Wilkinson Conference is nasty with LSU, OU and UT, the Bryant is loaded and the Rockne is basically the Big 10 on steroids (not that it would help).

Obviously this is a pipe dream but thoughts?

Oh and one more addition...like Premier league soccer...the 4 teams that finish at the bottom of their conferences, along with a wild card, get sent down to the 1-A "lite" division for a year and the top 5 from that division move up.

I hear they are going to rename the Bryant Conference "The Tim Tebow Experience".

That would be fucking awesome. As much fun as it is always having a chance to be a top ranked team, it sure would be cool if Ut's season was more than basically a 1 game season for practically the last 8 years.

Unfortunately, A&M would be kicked down after the first year. Had no idea them and ASU would get picked...

What about TCU? I think they may do real good this year.

The Bryant and Wilkinson divisions need to be one with a dual name; perhaps the Bryant-Wilkinson division. Add teams like Bama, uo, atm, SMU, FSU, ttek, Florida, wasn't Auburn on probation recently, too?
